The AC relay is located in the under hood fuse box. The cover should have a legend for location. Its one of the bigger black ones. You can rotate it with the horn or ABS one to see if its the problem. You may have a small fuse also in that box for it. If this doesn't solve the problem then you either have a leak or a computer problem. What a shop will do is try with a bidirectional data scanner turn the AC on. If they can't get it to turn on with a scanner then you most likely have a failed PCM if they verified you do not have low pressure or a relay or wiring or switch issue.

What causes P0533 & P0532 trouble codes on

What causes P0533 & P0532 trouble codes on 2006 Dodge 2500 SLT air conditioner. The codes are for too high of voltage & too low of voltage for the A/C sending unit. So my compressor pump clutch does not engage

P0533 A/C Pressure Sensor High.

It could be low on refrigerant, or it could be a bad sensor. Back-probe the pressure sensor connector (on the discharge line, near the compressor - it's a 4-way connector) on the dark blue wire with the engine running and the A/C turned to max. If you get no volts, or 5 volts, the sensor is bad. 4.5 volts indicates a properly-operating system, while less than 4.5 indicates low pressure, and anything above indicates high pressure. If low or high pressure is suspected, verify with a set of refrigerant gauges.

If warranted, the sensor can just unscrew. You won't lose refrigerant - there's a valve built in to the line to prevent that. Make sure to use a new O-ring and lube it with the proper oil if you do change the sensor.

On my 2007 Dodge 2500

On my 2007 Dodge 2500 diesal the AC clutch will not engage. I found the fuse box under the hood and there is only one 10 amp fuse that says hvac. so where is the clutch relay or fuse? Which big fuse handles the AC system?

there is no relay in that box that is called the tipm or totally integrated power module. that module is controlled by a computer and should be checked with a scanner to see if you have a code for the a/c. i m having the same problem i have been told it could be low freon but can not get the clutch to engage to check the high and low pressure. Also read where it may be the diode in the clutch on the ac compressor if you have a multimeter probe the compressor a good compressor will read somewhere between 3.5 and 4.0 anything else and clutch needs to be replaced. other possibilities may be the high or low pressure switch on the line. on myh 2006 2500 diesel it is located near the plug for the compressor on bottom side of motor. hope this helps.

Rad Ride, It is common that the dodge in fuel tank screen on the fuel pump, clogs with small particles from bad or contaminated diesel fuel, I have a 06 Mega same thing, if you are stock no mods I would turn the key to run but do not start it , listen for the pump running in the tank. You can look through the driver side rear wheel well and see the upper corner of the tank. I put a broom handle on it and one end to my ear makes for easy check. If no sound check the fuse, but changes the screen if you hear the pump running. If so, run as much fuel out of the truck with out running it dry and then you have to drop the tank and remove the fuel sending unit and pump with screen. You may get lucky and just clean the screen and if not the pump as a kit. I have a few mods so I went with the Airdog system which takes the pump out of the tank and adds better filters and air reductions. Hope for the best, Good Luck,

my ac compressor on my

my ac compressor on my dodge 2500 want engauge?

This could be a few things. The freon could be low, one of the switches (high or low pressure) could be bad, or you could have a bad compressor clutch. You can test the clutch by checking for battery voltage and ground at the two pin connector with the A/C on if you have both power and ground, then the clutch is bad. You really should start by hooking up pressure gauges to the A/C ports to check the pressures, and these vary depending on ambient temperature and whether the A/C compressor is engaged or not. I am willing to bet that the freon is low though and may be just as simple as recharging the system.
Hope this helps. Good luck!

A/C compressor not engaging

I have the 5.9l version of the 2006 Ram 2500. While I was driving the A/C stopped working. I checked the compressor and the clutch doesn't seem to be engaging. The interior A/C indicator lights up when the button is pushed, the mini fuse in the power distrobution box is good. I have 10.6 volts coming through the harness to the compressor Clutch but no continuity between the terminals on the clutch. This leaves me to believe that the clutch has gone bad or I have to much of a voltage drop somewhere and I should have full 12volts to the clutch...Can someone confirm this or am I missing something.
