I jhust bought a 2005 srt4 47k miles on the way
The oil light means that the oil pressure is low which may mean the oil filter is plugged up or the oil pump is wearing out and not generating enough oil pressure.
The check engine light indicates there is something wrong or out of specs. as far as a sensor on the engine, which should be checked.
An OBD-II Scanner can be used to analyze what is wrong with the engine. Try autozone or advance auto parts since they will scan it for free.
Good luck on the repairs.
Wher is the IAT?
the iat sensor is located in the fresh air duct connected to the air filter in front of the fuse/relay control panel. to remove the iat sensor, renive the air filter cover and using a pair of wire cutters remove the small steel band holding the sensor in place. then by pulling on sensor it will come out. when replaceing sensor be sure to install new metal ring on new sensor to secure it in place.
How do i know if timing belt was istalled right?
Hmmmm. I'd have your mechanic check the timing marks on the crank and cam(s) The problem may lie in a simple loose wire/sensor connection, I'd go thru all of these in insure they're snug. If the engine ran well prior to the belt replace and now having issues I'd get it back to the mechanic and have him correct. And for my 2-cents at no extra charge to you.
I hope this may have helped,
Tom
Loss of power
This problem is usually very easy to fix, depending on prior modifications to the car. This usually is related to a condition called spark blow out. You can start by replacing the spark plug wires with granatelli spark plug wires. They're cheap, and the best ive found. I had swapped my original wires to magnecor wires and the problem got worse. Go with the Granatelli wires....cheaper, and work better. Also change your spark plugs to The ngk copper spark plugs. I've personally had very little luck with the iridium plugs, however some people really like them. The gap should be around .030
The last remaining option at that point, if this still hasnt completely fixed the problem, would be to replace the stock ignition coil with the available msd ignition coil. This is only usually necessary when running much higher than stock boost levels.
Car wont move!
Sounds like the trans input shaft may be broken. If the input shaft, which is connected to the clutch, is not transmitting rotation to the inside of the trans then what you describe will occur.
Dodge srt 4 emergency break needs adjustment
This type of e-brake should actually adjust each time you engage it. If it no longer holds, the e-brake shoes may need replacment, or the friction surface they contact maybe rusted and not able to hold properly. I recommend you see your mechanic about this. Contact me nd let me know how you make out, or if you need further help.
Emergency break needs adjustment
If you have disc brakes in the rear it is very simple. The rear disc has a inner drum that has small brake shoes. These shoes rarely wear out. To adjust it take off the rear tire. Inside the rear of the unit is a little rubber plug. Remove it. Inside is a clicker that can be adjusted with a small screwdriver. One way on the clicker will tighten the other loosen. Spin the rear wheel hub until you feel it tighten as you move the clicker expander. You will feel the hub getting tigher harder to turn and hear the pads making contact with the inner drum. Repeat on the other rear drum. They are supposed to be self adjusting, but I find this not true.
