I have a 2004 Chevy

This is a common problem across a spectrum of different makes and models concerning ignition modules. The main cause of these failures is conductive HEAT transfer. I am in the process of experimenting with a small block Chevy K1500 that is consuming ignition mods on a regular basis. If the other ignition system components are good, including the spark plugs and spark plug leads, coil, cap, rotor, pick up..which in my case, are all new...I am left searching for my own solutions, dealers and parts suppliers are clueless. I have elevated the ignition mod off of the distributor base plate with plastic washers to reduce heat conduction. The fasteners that secure the ignition module to the base plate also ground it.. so make sure they are clean and secure. This is a direct opposite solution to the factory paste used to provide heat dissipation from the ignition mod So far so good in the Chevy experiment but time will tell. I am also installing accessory cooling fans to quickly remove trapped heat under the hood. As these failures occur during the summer or winter I may have to rig up a specific system to directly cool the distributor. Pretty sad when an owner has to resort to the school of Jerry Rigged to correct an obvious manufactures problem. Another option?: Silicone for use in automotive electronics

2004 Cavalier broken rocker arms after head gasket repair.

Rocker arm issues are common in that car. They can happen without any reason. This is not going to be cheap to look at. When the head was repaired it had to be removed. The timing chain might not have been properly tensioned. That would cause the timing chain to slip and then you have pistons slapping valves and spark plugs. This cause rocker arms and pushrods to bend or break and also can damage pistons.

Clutch pedal sticks on floor

on the bottom of the clutch housing there is a bleed nipple, like on the brakes, if you have pumped the clutch with out enough fluid in the brake receiver container you would of put air in the clutch system, you need to keep it topped up all the time so its at max. and bleed the clutch, you will need to lift the clutch pedal by hand up and down a few times to get the air out, its not assisted like the brakes so it will take a good few pumps and tightening the nippel when it feels pressure.

My 2004 Cavalier has two issues 1) parking lights

Used to, this would be an obvious case of a bad headlight switch. Now with all the extra computers on cars, it more likely is a glitch in the body control module (BCM). This small computer controls many functions including most if not all of the lighting. A tech with a voltmeter could probably find which part is at fault, either the switch or the BCM. If the BCM is replaced, you need to check if it needs programming for the car.

I own a 2001 ford expedition my horn does npt work.the fuse is under the hood its good. when i press the horn i hear a clicking near the peadles, can it be a bad ground. what color is the wire in the s

Did you use a test lite to see if fuse circuit, hot all the time. Because that module is involved, I can't troubleshoot it from here. Also, my info says airbag and horn button are integrated. That airbag is dangerous. At the horn, yellow wire with lt green tracer is voltage, black wire is ground. You could use jumper wires off the battery for voltage and ground to see if horn will sound, if you try that use an inline fuse. My info says that central security module is located under the dash, to the left of steering column, The clicking may be coming from the module, I don't know? horn-v5mpaghvzo1rjsiaaldzfraw-2-0.jpg
