Could be a bad switch or broken wire in the boot between the door and the body. Could also be the door window motor itself.

sounds like something is going on in the transfer case. Not cheap or fun, but that was the issue I had.

i'm a gm tech at a dealer that just had the same problem after about three days hunting down wires and not finding anything i found a bulletin describing this exact problem what happens is if ur vehicle has memory seats the wiring harness under the driver seat can get pinched from moving the seat inspect all the harnesses under the seat this fixed the one i was working on u can try moving the seat up and down or back and forth and see if u can make it stop doing it or make it act up good luck

Back in 2004 their was a recall on the sterring shaft issue's. I had it fixed twice > the second time they replaced it >> the first time they repaired it. Its been good after replacement.
