Replaced broken multi function lever. Can't
There are 2 versions of each (car and multi lever): with and without the cruise control. Are you sure you got the correct lever for your car? Because the connectors are individually shaped, they cannot be inserted in the wrong place or in the wrong way.

1989 GMC Sierra truck doors loose
Hey there. You can purchase a door pin and bushing repair kit to tighten up the hinge area, requires removing the door to replace. If the hinge area is worn to badly, the brass bushings willnot last. Also your window crank handle is held on by a C-clip behind the handle in between the plastic shim and the handle which requires a special tool to remove or a small screwdriver to get the clip off.It is hard to see.The shaft that the handle is on are known to wear also and if thats the case you will need to have the window regulator replaced.Hope this helps.John.

My 1989 GMC Sierra (350,
when replacing coolant, did you bleed the air from system! you can remove radiator or overflow cap when cold. start vehicle and let it run until thermostat opens, when all air is out hoses should get hot. but before starting, turn heater on to high setting, if you vehicle does not have a air bleeder on it. do as above. just be sure radiator is full of coolant. after hoses get hot, turn off heater, then put cap back on radiator or overflow. good-day! the first thing to do is to check for a stuck closed thermostat. do this first ok!

1989 gmc 2500 hd keeps locking up when put in
The best way to help in this is set the ebrake everytime you stop before letting your foot off the brake. It sounds like the pawl in the transmission that sets when you put the vehicle in park to keep the internals in the transmission from moving, has excess pressure on it. Possibly due to parking on an incline. Make sure your rear brakes are adjusted up properly so when you set the ebrake it will keep the vehicle from rolling and putting excess pressure on the pawl. Good luck and let me know how it goes.

Hesitation when moving from complete
The problem indicates towards few possibilities that are to be checked and replaced.-------
MAP sensor, TPS( throttle position) sensor, fuel pressure reg and fuel filter. The problem
with fuel pressure.-------- The fuel pressure is low.---------- First thing you
can do is get the fuel pressure checked, this will confirm the problem.
--------- If the pressure checked low that means problem is with faulty pump
and clogged fuel filter. But if all this checked ok, then This problem can be an EGR opening to early & causing a momentary lean condition. The only good test is to disconnect the EGR "for testing purposes only" . Go for a test drive & if there is a noticeable difference ,replace the EGR valve.---------
----------
This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Horn not working. fuse is fine. Maybe horn relay ?
You can test the horn itself by running a jumper wire to the positive post of the
battery for a second to test it, there is a single terminal with a spade connector to touch
the jumper to on the horn.
The contacts in the steering wheel may be bad also due to the age of the vehicle.
You can unplug the horn wire and test it to see if
you are getting voltage to the horn wire when someone presses on the horn.
you can test this with a 12 volt test light or a volt meter.
If the relays are identical in the relay box, you could swap two of them around to check
relay out.
Hope this is useful

1989 GMC SIERRA BRAKE LIGHT IN DASH STAYS ON
Check your emergency brake. Make sure it isn't partially pressed in. Try unplugging the switch to the emergency brake and see if the light goes out; if it does the switch is bad.

Need to no how much
The parts (slave cylinder and fluid) should cost in the area of $75 - $120, depending on your model vehicle and the labor should be about $200.00 - $240.00 depending on the shops hourly rate.

Hello there, I have a
The basics are fuel, timing and igntion. Seeing as you have changed the fuel filter and it runs for quite a while, you should take a look at the igntion system. The most common cause for your type porblem is the coil over-heating and shorting out. This could be caused by leaking plug wires or the coil itself is bad. Another less likely cause is the igntion module an-or the pickup coil.
With the approximate running time being the same, I'm betting the coil is the cause.
Good luck.
