Well did you try to start it a few times, after draining the fuel rail it will take a few times to purge out the air and fill lines with fuel. make sure that all connections are on and tight , double check your work and look for any connections that may have been left unhooked.

It could be the coil, are you definately getting fuel through?

drain fuel clean tank and replace filter

take a c clamp and compress it in or it may be the type that has to screw back in and they make a special tool for them,which you can take a pair of channel locks and twist them in also.

the pen may of broke or came a loose take off the door panel and your will be able to see the out side door handle.

check your ignition coil. it could be causing the air flow meter to fault or blow back

You went over 30,000 miles and it is a one time trip in the odometer. Remove the right knee panel and there is a green w/ yellow stripe wire. Unplug it. The sensor light should go out.

your going to haveto be more spacific like what fuse link and what is not working

The actual ignition switch is made up of plastic, greased. They do wear out and fail eventually, from just old age and maybe also from plain ole brittle plastic. It might have worn and now has too much play for the contacts to properly touch, when you turn the key trying to start.

The coolant temperture senser could be disconnected or open ( no circurt ) If it's disconnected The computer thinks the engine is real cold and turns up the fuel. OHM meter ther coolant temp senser and it should read something to ground 400-1000 OHMs Then it should read the same to ground at the computer. Datsun in their infinate wisdom has made all the fuel senser wires white so yopu have to follow the wire all the way to the computer by hand. At that plug it shouold read the same as it did at the senser using the case of the computer as the ground and you were using the ngine as the ground when you were right at the senser. ( the computer can be losing it's ground can also cause the problem.) The fuel pressure regulater can be stopped up ( no fuel will come out of the returen line going back to the tank) ( high fuel pressure) The vacume line that is connected to the regulater is full of ruel ( the regulatyer is Leaking ) ( needs to be replaced) ( happens alot). Cam timing is wrong ( if it is it won't revup well either) Compression will be low (150 is right for noramally asperated and 120 for the turbo car.) If it's a turbo car oil could be leaking at the turbo into the air itntake.

Whoever put the aftermarket fogs in probably tapped power from your headlight circuit. That being said, you probably shorted out a fuse or two when you removed them. Just go through and check your fuses/relays under the hood and inside the cabin. Make sure to use electrical tape to tape off the old wire for the lights or this will happen again...

check air filter first, then replace fuel filter if it has not been done recently and adjust idle speed. check fluid levels while you are under there.

depending on your experience you can use a large machinists vise and a hammer or a hydraulic press. if you don't have the skills remove and take the driveshaft to your local machineshop for installation of new part. some rebuilders will exchange complete shaft readybuilt to save time.
