Replace transmission control module?
You should really have a qualified tech. replace this control unit. It is located in the foot well in passenger side. There is a false floor held in by 10mm nuts that the unit attaches to. You will more than likely need a S.D.S. machine to download the software out of the old unit and into the new unit. Next you will have to version code the new unit and set the parameters for your shift points. I have never replaced one and tried to start and drive the vehicle w/o the S.D.S.. I can't be sure it would be drivable but there is only one way to find out. Either way you will have to take to appropriate repair facility and won't have the same warranty replacing it yourself. What ever you do do not remove the electrical connector with the key on, I also hope that the vehicle was properly diagnosed. Hopefully I have been helpful. Good luck

Widow w/ E430 Mercedes dead battery. Can't get
THE HOOD IS MECHANICAL MEANING ITS JUST A WIRE PULLING A LATCH. HAVE SOMEONE PULL UP ON THE HOOD AS YOU PULL THE LEVER TO OPEN THE HOOD. IF THE BATTERY IS DEAD THEN GO TO THE REAR SEAT. ON BOTH SIDE RIGHT AND LEFT, JUST UNDERNEATH THE REAR SEATS ARE THESE LITTLE HOLES . FIT YOUR FINGERS IN THERE AND PRESS UP ON THE SEAT. DO THE SAME TO THE OTHER ISDE. THE BATTERY IS THERE UNDER ALL THAT STUFF. JUMP IT FROM THERE.

A/C DIRECTIONAL MALFUNCTION
Inside the vent where the bottom (foot area) vent connects to vent box behind console. There is a flap inside that is controlled by vacuum lines. Either a vacuum line came off, the vacuum actuator is faulty, or the flap is stuck.
