I had this happen on my Regal. Ended up being the switch under the brake. Also check to see if your brake lights work.

It sounds to me as though your fuel tank needs to be flushed out. Even with a new fuel filter they can clog down enough to maintain flow but not have enough flow for your engine.

Google it. You'll find a you tube video for just what you need to do. Just type into your search bar "1993 Buick LeSabre A/C clutch replace" and you'll find what I mean. A list of different tutorials to do just what you need done. I've used this method myself. The video's are usually done well and are complete. I can understand your situation.

Hey Cap'n, all the heat and A/C is actuated by the controls and these controls are ALL vacuum actuated. Make sure you have vacuum to the controls from the engine. There's a 4 inch round ball under the hood on the pass side near firewall. This ball is the vacuum reservoir, must have vacuum to and from then thru the firewall to said controls. If there's vacuum everywhere, it HAS to work properly. Check all vacuum lines for leaks, cracks, connections, all the above.

What is the vehicle? Sounds like you have junk now.

Control head is failing

Has the ECT sensor been replaced, are all the sensor connectors in good condition, what fault codes are you getting when testing the system at the diagnostic port under the dash on drivers side? Lose connection , broken wire inside the insulation . Where on the vehicle is the wire , how many wire's ? is it a whole wiring harness ? What color wire ? Open up the wiring harness an check the wire's one at a time . Pull on the wire's an see if one comes apart . If the wire is broke inside it's insulation you won't need to pull real hard for it to come a part .

Same circuit. The dash lights and all parking lights (front and rear) are all on one circuit.

Check the ICM. Idle control module. If the fuel pressure regulator was the problem, you'd have a hard start condition ans a lack of power.

Check front end bushings.

Step on brake pedal and see if you have brake lights. The brake light switch release the solenoid to let it shift. If brakes lights work then the solenoid could be defective. Also the fuses should be checked for the brake lights if they don't work.

First, verify that none of your lights are remaining on, especially the TRUNK LIGHT and the GLOVE COMPARTMENT LIGHT. Second, after you have driven the car for several miles, turn the car off and let it sit for one to two hours. Feel the back of the alternator. If it is hot, REPLACE THE ALTERNATOR, and your problem will stop (bad rectifier diode).
