2006 escape AWD, replace front hub bearing
Rather than just the bearing, I suggest a new half shaft as the bearings and ABS tone wheel are already assembled. These Escapes are notorious for cracking the tone wheel setting off a code and then disabling the AWD system. So for a very few dollars more than it would take to disassemble the shaft , install bearings and tone wheel just get a new one.
Whan can I do if the vehicle alarm goes off and hunks a couple times a day on its own with no one touching the car?
First we would need to know if it is a factory alarm or something you installed after purchasing the vehicle. Or if the alarm is an aftermarket alarm installed before you bought the vehicle. Assuming that it is an after market alarm, the sensitivity is set too high. They are usually installed under the dash by the driver side kick panel. Find the box (black color) find the slot with the plus and minutes on it and turn the dial to at the most medium. If it is a factory alarm, you might have a faulty alarm module or somebody is messing with your car Just for kicks.
2006 ford escape 37,000 miles. My abs light stays
You likely have a cracked ABS tone ring. I had no idea what that meant when I was researching my girlfriends vehicle (2006 Escape hybrid) but sure enough that it what it was. She was getting the Service 4X4, Service Braking System, and the ABS light was on in the car. The tone ring is a gear that fits on the end of your CV shaft and can be found right behind your tire (if you search this problem on google you should find some pictures). You can see this without removing anything from the vehicle. There is a sensor that counts the gears of this ring as it goes by to determine your speed and whatnot. This information is used by the braking system and if the ring is cracked it will spin freely and the computer will not know what is going on and throw an error (or two or three). You can fix this two ways: replace CV shaft (about a $70 part) or replace the ring itself (a $12 - $15 part). Labor is what is going to get you on this. You can disconnect fuse #34 (5 amp fuse) to disable the ABS, but on my girlfriend's car this also disabled the power steering.
How to remove a 3.0 engine from an escape, 2004
Mike, the engine, transmission and front sub-frame must be removed as a unit by dropping them out the bottom. So unless you have access to a vehicle lift, like those found in a professional garage AND a special [$$$] support cradle to hold the assembly while you raise the vehicle [it's on a lift remember] off this assembly, you can not do this job yourself. This job takes a trained pro with all the right tools about 16 hours. To try to do it in your driveway or garage will take over 40 hours [if you could even do it there]. Better you spend that 40 hours working, so that you can pay a pro to do this job for you.

Usually you will need to disconnect battery, wait 5 minutes, reconnect battery, turn vehicle to on position but do not try starting. Wait 15 minutes with key on. Turn off vehicle, wait one minute. Lock door, unlock door. Try starting.
How do I free up a seized 3.0 engine on ford escape
You must rebuild it. When a berring (weather it be a cam or crank shaft) turns it cuts off all oil circulation from that point on then it heats up the bearing to the point of welding itself to the crankshaft and begins to cut grooves so deep that the crankshaft seizes. 9 times out of 10 the crankshaft will be junk. Its best to buy a remanufactered engine. Machining and building it yourself is time consuming. Hope this helps.
