What would make my four wheel drive not work on my 2006 ford escape?

Sounds like one of the ABS tone wheels has broken. Any one of them that does not function properly will cause the 4 wheel drive to quit working. There should be an ABS fault code that triggers a dash light but perhaps not in this case. Inspect each wheel end tone wheel and if you can turn any of them without rotating the hub/ tire assembly you have found the issue

Why my bad motor in escape didnt have oil cooler and replacement did?

Could be a mod after market, or a change duiring production and you go the other style engine. Not a bad thing to have, will keep the engine running much cooler, prolong oil and engine life, and a bit better gas mileage.

Why OD light Flashing , not engaging transmission, loss of power?

Not quite sure. I would have some one read the computer memory to get a code number. Has the trany fluid and filter been replaced? The code number stored in memory will give you a better result to repair the cause. Does the trany shift up and down by itself normaly? What mialage is on car? Check the rpm guage to see when the trany shifts gears in normal driving. Hope this helps. Best I can do now.

Leaking rear differential seals on 4WD models

if after a long trip you notice that the rear differential has oil leaking out of the drive shaft or the half shafts seals, don't panic. Clean up the entire differential with brake dry clean or electrical contact cleaner spray, be generous around the drive shaft lip as it can hold some oil. Then take a look on the back cover plate for a valve that should move a bit, if it doesn't, remove the valve with a 13mm wrench and give it a good spraying with the brake dry cleaner in both ends and exercising the valve until it clears the blockage gunk. The valve is not shown in the Ford Maint manual, but it is in the Mazda Tribute maint manuals and parts catalogs. The valve is a one way pressure relief , lets air out, prevents air and water from getting in. Check the oil after re-installing the valve. The oil should be ok and just level with the bottom of the inspection plug which just uses a 3/8" drive ratchet to remove. Drive a couple of hours and if nothing is leaking, you're good to go.

Why do radiator cooling fans start when key is put in on position

Under normal operation, in low speed, only the LH fan is initially in operation. Voltage is supplied to the low speed cooling fan relay through circuit 60 BK/LG wire. When the relay is energized, voltage fed to the LH cooling fan motor through circuit 538 GY/RD wire. Ground for the cooling fan is through circuit 57 BK wire. After the LH fan has been energized for 5 -10 seconds the RH fan will start automatically. Voltage is applied to the RH fan motor through circuit 3829 LB/BK wire. BK wire circuit 57 is also the ground. Under normal operation in high speed both fans should operate from the high speed cooling fan getting a command voltage on circuit 30 BK/LG wire. The relay energizes both fans through circuit229 RD/OG wire while the low speed fan relays are de-energized. The fans will come on immediately when the airconditioning compressor clutch is engaged mode and when the vehicle is in Drive. OBD-II trouble codes are P0480 low fan 1circuit, P0481 hi fan circuit & P0482 medium fan circuit.

My radio has power but no audio

Sounds like either a wiring issue at the output on the radio, or the audio circuits in the radio have failed. Start with trying to secure the output wires to the radio, if all tight then afraid it is internal.

Instructions for replacing front wheel bearing on

I have a 2002 Escape and have changed my bearings. The 2006 is the same. The front wheel bearings on the Escape are simple cartridge bearings, or Gen1 bearings, that are pressed onto the hub and knuckle. They are not so simple to replace. Unless you have the experience and tools, you'll need to take it to the dealer or a shop.

You will need a press and the correct press tools.
The knuckle/hub assembly needs to be removed from the vehicle.

Here's the short version:
Remove the tire/wheel.
Remove the brake caliper w/ bracket.
Remove rotor.
Remove the ABS sensor.
Remove axle nut and press the axle inwards, until loose. (sometimes easy, usual needs special tool).
Remove the strut bolts, tie rod, and the lower ball joint from the knuckle/hub assembly. Each of these connections can have it's issues.
Press the hub out of the assembly. One half of the inner race will be stuck on the hub. Use a bearing splitter to remove that half.
Remove the snap ring from the knuckle.
Press the rest of the bearing from the knuckle.
Press the new bearing into the knuckle. Press on the outer race only!
Snap ring.
Make sure the dust sheild is still in place.
Press the hub into the bearing. The bearing must be supported on the inner race only!
The point is that you must not press thru the balls in the bearing. That can cause the bearing to get brinnelled.... not good.
Reassemble the knuckle on the vehicle in reverse order. I like to put a little grease on the axle spline. The axle spline has a little helix on it... about half a degree. It's supposed to be a tight fit. The torque on the axle nut is 300Nm (about 220ft-lbs?). This torque is very, very important. It is needed to keep the bearing together and at the correct preload, so use a big torque wrench.

...or you can take it to the dealer.

Good luck.

Day light dont work fuse is good

check connection on light switch, could possibly have relay gone. do the lights all work when you turn them on, if so thinking relay. I would contact dealer or auto part supplier and ask them if there is a relay to purchase and maybe able to tell you where located. Can test for voltage with test light or voltmeter
