How do I add tranny

If there is a dipstick, add the proper fluid to the dipstick fillter tube. If there is no dipstick, there are drain plugs on the side that will have to be removed to check the level, at normal operating temperature.

Maybe check autozone.com for further information. There are two brands of transmission used in the BMWs of that era. ZF and GM transmissions. There are also a number of types of transmission used in the BMW 525i vehicles.

Check online for a service bulletin regarding the automatic transmission used in your vehicle, or check with the dealer.

I found a service bulletin that's in black and white, but it was not pastable to the fixya.com website.
Sorry, about that.

Good luck on finding a solution to adding transmission fluid to your 1992 BMW 525i vehicle.

Transmission don't engage on drive gear but slowly

Checking transmission fluid is always a good idea and thats where i would start. If it is full then most likely the input hub is broken in the transmission and this will most likely lead to an overhaul. You most likely have a ZF4HP22 or 24 depending on engine size. This is a tricky little unit to repair and I would avoid the "low bidder".Good luck!

It wont start after an

Hot metal has higher electrical resistance than cold metal. It is not unusual for old starters to act up only when hot. It is also possible for something inside the engine to expand and bind when the engine is hot, but the odds are that it is the starter.
If you want to be sure it is not the engine, remove the spark plugs and try to turn the engine manually with a wrench on any pulley bolt you can get to. If you have a manual transmission, but it in second or third and push the car. It will have resistance, but you should be able to turn it over manually. If you can move the engine, the problem is almost certainly in the starter.

Yes, you may have put the wires on the starter wrong. There is a positive post and an ignition post. If they touch or one is touching ground then the starter will engage.

Hi. Generally, engine temperature will change when you turn on the AC since there are friction added to the engine. If your car goes to overheat then the issue would be the cooling system of the car. You may check these part for your cooling system. First is check the reserve if water/coolant ran out. If liquid rans out to the reserve then the problem could be the hose's or the radiator. Check for holes and possible cuts. Second is cehck the radiator thermostat. It might not functioning well. Third is the water pump, pump might not be working in good condition.

Steering wheel and ignition look 1992 bmw 525i

Sorry I have not done a BMW but steering wheels usually require a puller to remove from the spline.
I have mostly worked on *** cars and the steering lock and key are removed without the steering wheel removed. The lock assembly attaches around the steering column, and is held on by some tamperproof bolts which break the hex off on installation, so you are left with round heads that look like rivets, I use a small chisel or punch to get them turning, it may be possible to drill the heads off as well, Sorry again if my info only relates to japanese cars, but hopfully I helped with the steering wheel removal.
