try bleeding the hydraulics

Normally after a long drive it does stay on for a few mins..... After you car has been parked for a few hours.... does your cooling fan active???? if yes then there is a problem with the thermostat connected to the engine.... change it... if No then yo vehicle is fine

try using a code reader to reset the CPU as the program may have been corrupted when the battery was flat

Is the hand break working alright? when you pull it, does the 'brake' indicator light come on? Does it go off when you release it? In normal conditions, DRL is off when the hand brake is engaged. Thus, a faulty/mis-adjusted hand brake switch could cause your issue.

If it is new like you said that it was, take it to a dealer. It is still under warranty UNLESS they say that you did not monitor the fluid levels in the car, it will be covered.

check the pipe from the vacuum pump/inlet manifold to the brake servo for any leaks

most like the cable that goes from handle to inside is broken or came loose from its position. remove the interior door panel and check that first. if that is ok then your door latch would be the second cause.

run fault codes and look for a transmission control module fault.

A fuse??

have you checked the fuse in the fuse box side lights have a fuse.
