2001 MAzda MPV- Key was stuck in ignition. Would not turn all the way back to remove. I pulled the fuse for the Hazards and WHOLA!! Key turned back and could be removed.! Just to test the problem I put the key back in , started up , pulled up and back a few feet, turned the steering wheel and parked. Key was stuck again. I pulled the fuse and again ... WHOLA! key was released. Now what I need to do is fix the problem or I have to pull a fuse every time I stop the car - ANY ADVICE??

timing chains let you know when its time to change them as they rattle but if you do a rebuild at say 200k then obviously change the chain/tensioner

I don't think you can replace without cloning. The vehicle will not start if code in cluster does not match ECU code. I would suggest you swap the eeproms in cluster.

you should checkout this website www.reliable-store.com that has books on all vehicles, name it and they have it. it covers wiring diagrams, electrical diagrams, fuse diagram, torque specs, PCV, error codes, fault codes, service info, repair info, owner's/service/repair/maintenance manuals etc everything totally.. I have ford expedition and I keep servicing it on my own. worth it !!!

If the 'flash' pull works it will most likely be the switch in the stalk (lever). It should be an easy enough part to get.

code p 0106 refers to manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor/barometric pressure(BARO) sensor --range / performance problem=== causes ---intake / exhaust leak---wiring---MAP sensor ---BARO sensor not shifting out of over drive could be a problem servo/ solenoid , dirty oil , wiring or VSS sensor have that complaint properly diagnosed by a competent auto transmission specialist shop

I had this issue in the past. All I did was to replace the brake switch. This part is located behind the brake pedal. Btw, if you this run into this issue again in the future, you can always push this switch with your finger and it's located on top of your steering wheel enclosure, this will disengage the shifter.there is a small rectangle shape cover that you need to remove first.

It is likely your charge wire or field circuit is shorted. If you mean you want to install an external regulator, I cannot recommend that, as it will likely cause a fault to disconnect the alternator from the computer. Trace all of the alternator wires, big and small; and I believe you will find a short. If you have an ohmmeter, use it to make sure the field power wire is isolated from chassis ground.
