2007 Dodge Nitro R/T New Cars Questions & Answers
Nitro dipstick
Believe it or not, it doesn't have one. It just has a cap with no dipstick over the tranny fluid fill tube. You have to take it to the dealer, or a shop with the "speacial tool" (dipstick) to measure it. Some speculate that this may be due to the fact that Chrysler has had a bad rap for a number of years related to their transmissions. The don't want consumers adding the wrong type of tranny fluid (dextron) to the vehical thereby creating shifting and other issues. Rediculus if you ask me. Hope this helps. Please remember to rate my answer. Thanks.
Dodge nitro wont start or turn over. The battery
Is this an intermitting problem only occure during dry and cold weather?
Behind the ignition key lock there is a module call Wireless Control Module (WCM). When this module is zap by static eletricity build up during cold weather (via the key). It will hang just like you computer.
As a test please please touch the key to a metal object to discharge the static on the key before insert it into the ignition.
If the problem stop complete then you can take it to the Dodge dealer the arrange service on the Wireless Control Module (WCM) or wire for better grounding.
So I have a 2007 dodge nitro my ac compressor
The lite blue orange wire grounds the ac clutch relay. The engine computer is supposed to do this IF conditions are right for the ac to function. There could be a problem with one of the freon pressure sensors or the AC control module. If you are not getting a normal level of cold air from the vents, and the mechanical system is functioning correctly, the problem may be the ac control module. There may be blend doors that are not open or closed as they should be.This is normally beyond most DIY people, so info is not available in over the counter repair books. A shop that knows how to work on electronic ac systems and a shop manual may be needed.
Need to remove the front wheel bearing hub on a 2007 dodge nitro
Remove the brake caliper and pads, You have to remove the large axle nut It has to be torqued back on. You can find that torque spec by googling axle nut torque spec for your vehicle. Disconnect the ABS wire if it has it then the bearing will have 3 bolts on the backside to remove, They should be torqued back on as well. Dont forget to use a jack stand and leave the jack up as well for extra safety
Broker Dodge Nitro Door Handle
I had my hadle break the other day. I went to the dealership and they wanted $170.00 to replace. The door handle was $60 by it self (for a piece of plastic)!! I read a solution on here that used epoxy putty (JB Weld for Plastic) find it at your hardware store and it worked. Pushing the latch out to touch the handle, I used the epoxy putty on the break and taped the handle to the door to apply pressure and now it's strong as steel. I spent $5.50 for the epoxy putty and saved over $160. Let another handle break, I'm ready!!!!
