I have a 2007 BMW335I that is going into the limp
Hi
You should go to a garage
to get the specific fault code from the transmission computer. However, low
trans fluid can cause a fault code and limp in. Not enough trans fluid could
cause the trans clutches to slip and that would cause a fault code. The problem
here is that the trans fluid is low. This may mean you have a leak somewhere.
Trans fluid is red, so look under hood and on the ground to see if you can see
red trans fluid that has leaked out. If so, then get the leak fixed, and you
may be okay.
Please get back to us if
you have further query or else please accept the solution.

I removed my car
As you mentioned there is no problem or no effect on driving, so no issue with codes.
It seems as the cars get older VANOS problems are cropping up all over the place.------
VANOS issues or tuning with VANOS is causing an issue?----------
3100 simply means a limp has occurred
you won't be able to replicate the VANOS fault on map 0, it doesn't work the engine hard enough
you need both solenoids replaced.--------
But till there is problem in driving, you can drive it.As per current situation, its just giving codes, but doesn't seems problem.------
-----------
But if you see driving problems, then the solenoids needs to be replaced. But for now, you can continue driving. And ignore the fuel pump related codes. That is no worry.--------
This will help.Thanks.Helpmech

Though I am not familiar with the 2007 model, on the e46s, I know that the low oil light comes on when you are down only about 1/2 quart. Does your model have a dip stick?
A half quart in 3000 miles is not cause for concern. Most of them burn a bit less than that, at least during the first 200k miles, but some burn more. It depends to some extent what kind of oil you are using. It will burn more Mobile1 than it will Castrol Syntec, for example.
I have an '04 330 that uses about a half quart in 7k miles between oil changes, and an '04 325 that goes through a quart every thousand miles. I am only a little concerned about the 325. I would not be at all concerned about a half quart in 3k miles.

Could be quite a few things. If you have had to replace your car's battery or your key fob battery, you may have lost the sync between the key and the ignition
You can relearn or reprogram your key following the steps:
1. Get in your vehicle and shut the doors. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position (without cranking). Hold it for two seconds, then turn the ignition off and remove the key.
2. Hold down the unlock button and quickly press the lock button three times.
3. Release the unlock button. The door locks will flash, signaling that the programming is complete.
4. Place the key in the ignition and toggle between "ON" and "OFF" to finalize.
NOTE: Please make sure this is completed quickly in order to for it to take effect!
If the above does not seem to work, please let me know if your key Rounded or Diamond shaped?

You need fuel, air, and fire to start a car. You need to make sure the engine is getting gas. Make sure the fuel pump works. Check the pump fuses/relays, and reset if equipped. If the engine is getting gas, check the timing belt.chain. Check your spark plugs/coils, coil pack, distributor, dist.cap, cam sensor, roter, cranks sensor. It could be anyone of these. That is why it is important to check for fire and fuel. Cancel out what works and narrow the choices. If you have any questions, just let me know.

through the back seat your looking for a small cable with a tag on the end(usually yellow), pull it and trunk should open

Likely the cause is the opposite of what you are thinking. Oil in the radiator (engine oil) is caused by a blown cylinder head gasket. When that gasket fails it can overpressurize the cooling system by permitting compression from the pistons to enter. (cooling system pressure rarely is above 20psi...compression pressure is more like 150psi. That will cause the radiator tank to burst)
