You may have a minor oil leak and not see any dripping on the ground. The van is under load going up hills and will run slightly hotter. If there is oil leaking in or around the exhaust manifold it will give a burning smell.

This is a computer controlled charging system ! You should have one heavier wire on the back , this comes from down at the starter an has battery + The other two come from the PCM - powertrain control module !

check that the cam shaft is turning ( broken timing belt/chain) run fault codes to check for cam/crank position sensor check immobiliser operation

there is none, a screw cap covers trans filler but no dip stick!!! they want you to bring back to dealer. I have seen an aftermarket product, don't know how good it is, if you are changing filter, measure what comes out and put back only that amount, don't overfill, must use ATF +4, for chrysler only!!! nothing else!!!

Do you mean it cranks but will not start, or will not even crank? If it turns but won't start, yes the ignition fuse can cause that.

Since the trouble happened in heavy rain conditions I would suspect water induced conductivity in the wiring to and from the backup camera. You will need to 1..get a shop manual for the car which details the location of the cable, plugs etc. to and from the camera. 2. Since the camera is located in the rear of the car I would look in the area where water spray from the highway may splatter into the wiring harness and ground connections to the camera. 3. I haven't done one of your year model yet so I can't tell you the exact location of the pieces. 4. Check with your local service manager for the brand and see if there is some news on troubles with this module in other cars Good luck. It was the moisture and unsealed connections that broke it.
