2007 Lexus RX 350 FWD - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

First check and make sure your gas cap is tight, if this does not resolve the problem read below.
A vacuum hose has become disconnected, more than likely due to having your air filter replaced. The VSC and Check engine light typically don't come on until after 150-200 miles after the vacuum hose was pulled out.
The fix: on the right-hand-side of the engine compartment behind the big plastic housing that holds the air filter you will find a black rubber hose that is not connected to anything. Squeeze the finger clamp on the hose and slide the hose back onto the half inch nipple on the back of the air filter's plastic housing.
In order for the VSC and Check engine light to be turned off, you will need to open the fuse box, right-side of the engine compartment, and pull the 20 amp EFI fuse for 10 seconds. This will reset the system. The fuse location is marked on the lid of the fuse box, also I believe the EFI fuse is the only 20 amp fuse
. This will help. Thanks, please keep updated. please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS) is used when for example if it was day time and you entered a dark parking garage the lights would detect and adapt to the lighting environment which will then automatically trigger the Bi-xenon headlights to turn on themselves in order to illuminate the road ahead when the vehicle anticipates it is necessary. It is an automatic feature which turns on by itself for your convenience therefore you wont have to induce any actions, the car does it all for you. And most Importantly (I quote) "the Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS) automatically controls the headlight lighting pattern according to steering angle and vehicle speed to help provide better visibility at night."

Nick, I would start with the easiest things first and do a simple elimination until you figure out exactly why it won't start. #1 Spark plugs. #2 Spark plug wires. #3 ignition coils.#4 air/fuel filter. #5 Fuel injectors. #6 Fuel pump. #7 Electronic control module(ECM)/computer. If these things I have stated are replaced with new, then there is no reason it shouldn't start. I gave you this list as easiest to hardest to replace. You may find that the problem is only with the spark plugs, then obviously you have detected the issue and do not need to continue replacing components. I hope this helps, and good luck. ^^

You have to get the codes read to figure out what is causing the stability light to stay on. The computer is picking up traction loss from a bad sensor. It could be a level sensor or a bad wheel sensor. Salt on the roads cause a lot of problems for sensors. Try slowly going through a undercarriage wash to help eliminate the corrosive qualities salt helps create or powerwash the underside of your vehicle up on ramps for a more pristine job. Go to autozone for free code reading before and once clean go again to clear codes for a retest.

I am thinking that the noise is from a failed wheel bearing or possible cv joint failure
find yourself another service dealer as tire noise is either there or not there and rotation (if it is a faulty tyie ) would move to the new position
Here is a clue to consider
rotating tires is a ploy by the tire dealers to sell tires
have a wheel alignment done on the rear first and then the front and leave the tires alone
if it is a front wheel drive vehicle you will get 3 times the mileage out of the rear tires compared to the front drive tires and that is a big saving for you
next point -- radial tires continue to wear in the same pattern regardless of where they are put so how are you to know it it is a faulty tire construction or a need for a wheel alignment
third point --- many brands of tires are made as directional tires ( a directional arrow on the side wall) and cannot be rotated because they cannot be fitted on a wheel that rotates against the arrow
if they are the wear in pattern of the belts in the rubber is altered and may lead to tire failure ---the tread pattern is designed to remove maximum water and produce maximum grip in the direction of the arrow

There is usually a sticker inside the hood or somewhere visible indicating the quantity and type of gas for the A/C. I suggest you take a careful look, I'm sure you will find it

This could be due to improper wheel alignment or worn suspension or steering components. It may also be due to odd tyre fitment. Check those first.

Try disconnecting the battery for several hours. Sometimes the electronic modules go to sleep and need to be rebooted.

The indicator light is telling you the vehicle stability control is off. Either the switch by the gear shifter is off, or there is a problem with the system.

There should be a fuse in the dash panel for all the interior accessories. Check your entire system to make sure that the DVD player is the only thing that isn't working.
