I have a related problem with a 2007 RX350. I was told by the dealer no less that there is a way fo disableing the power on prompt that asks you to agree not to use the GPS while driving. Its really annoying to have to press this each time you sart the car. I am worried that in the long run that this will lead to a failure of the touch screen.
