2004 BMW x3 won't attempt to start...
Mr Goforth. I just read your question.
what you have scanned fault codes have nothing to do with your today issue. Since you tried starting the car by jumping the battery tapping the starter motor with negative results, I advice you to check whether you might face : a) not clean to contact battery terminals, b) no good Earthing wiring, c) Ignition Fuse or Relay blown, d) Ignition switch lock not working. Good Luck.
I keep adding engine oil on my 2006 BMW 530i, engine has no leaking. Any help?
Check exhaust smoke color when engine hot. If there is white smoke, there may be oil in the pipes. Means the valve seal is leaking oil into the cylinder. Another way to check is to look at the spark plug tips. If is full of soot like burnt oil then the oil is leaking into the cylinders.
If yours is E60 turbo, check the presence of residue oil in both the exhaust and intake turbine. If there is, the oil seals in the turbo housing is leaking oil. They do sell service kits for turbos.
7 Series. How can I remove stuck ignition key?
Install a fully charged battery. Put on the parking brake and see if the key can be removed. If you need further help, please specify year and exact model. A VIN number would be helpful.
Help Please ...2004 bmw x3 the eml light the brake light and the 4x4 light come and the vehicle dies in traffic
Read out the error Codes ( poss. 2750 and/or 2751 ?).
It could well be that the throttlebody or maybe cables/plug connection is causing this problem and the 4x4 as the dsc may also be disrupted (error Code 5f1d ?) if the throttlebody function is defective. Try cleaning it & check all its electricals are good. Clear the faults and test drive. If you're still getting transferbox problems, check the actuator/plastic gear and maybe change the transferbox oil AND reset the adaptions.
Hope this helps

What is the 2851 error code on E90 BMW 320i 2009 model
I believe it is referencing your Valvetronic adjuster motor, the one that advances (changes) the timing of the valvetrain under varying RPM. Here is an excerpt from a do it yourself fix if you are mechanically inclined:
Recently I had a E90 320i come into my shop with the mil light on and running on half power. A scan of the vehicle indicated valvetronic servor motor internal failure. On testing the valvetronic servor motor I found it to be working.
The problem was it was not advancing the valve timing thus the half power of the engine. If you ever have this problem here is a fix that works. Remove the servor motor and. With a screwdriver push the eccentric shaft gear as far back anti clockwise as it can go. Insert the servor motor and connect its 2 pin plug. Them switch the ignition onto position 2 and withing a space of 15 seconds depress the accelarator pedel down to full throttle 10 times and you will hear the servor motor program itself back to factory spec. Re-fit the valve cover and problem solved. I hope you will find this post useful.
Good luck...
