CHANGE CV JOINT RIGHT FRONT AXEL 1985 SUBARU JUSTY HOW CV JOINT

It's a pretty easy job if you have the right tools and jacks / axle stands. Too involved to explain here.. Your best bet is to get a Haynes manual for your car at Amazon (they are pretty cheap when compared to what you pay for an auto technician) and follow the simple step by step instructions.

Computer shut down fuel system reset

Hi, Sounds like the immobiliser isn't de-activating. The system will prime when the ignition is turned on and the car will start but then the immobiliser will cut the fuel after 2-3 seconds. Are there any warning lights or led lights staying on. If you have a spare key and haven't tried it then start there first. If you do and neither key works then it could be a number of things including the pick up ring around the ignition barrel but you would need to get the car checked out proffesionally before you start replacing parts. Good luck, Jon.

Why does my 89 justy die when i slow down?

It could be any number of things. The MAP sensor is bad, a severe vacuum leak, the fuel filter is plugged, it needs a tune-up like new plugs & wires etc., the fuel pump is weak or leaking if its a manual one. If the car runs rough at idle have a vacuum test done also, while the car is running at night, open the hood and see if the plug wires are arcing as you will see what looks like small lightning sparks around the wires. The worst case scenario is the piston rings are shot causing poor compression. A repair manual is usually available at the local auto parts store, or shopping center like Wal-Mart and Meijer. I wish you the best of luck.

Dtc po500

Hi Trevor:DTC P0500 - Vehicle Speed Sensor MalfunctionBasically this means that the vehicle's speed as read by the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) is not working properly.Symptoms of a P0500 DTC may include: loss of anti-lock brakes the "anti-lock" or "brake" warning lamps on the dash may be lit the speedometer or odometer may not work properly (or at all) your vehicle's RPM limiter may be decreased the shifting of an automatic transmission may become erratic other symptoms may also be presentA code P0500 may mean that one or more of the following has happened: The Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) is not reading (functioning) properly There is a broken/frayed wire leading to the vehicle speed sensor The vehicle's PCM is not correctly configured for the actual tire size on the vehiclePossible Solutions:The simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back.Next, check all wiring and connectors that lead to the speed sensor. The location of the sensor depends on your vehicle. The sensor could be on the rear axle, transmission, or perhaps the wheel hub (brake) assembly. If the wiring and connectors are OK, then check the voltage at the speed sensor. Again, the exact procedure wil depend on your make and model of vehicle. If everything looks OK, replace the sensor.Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day

Im looking for help with

Sounds like a carb problem, you can buy carb cleaner from autozone to spray in the jets. Also once you remove all the non metalic parts once you remove it you can drop the carb in a gallon bucket of cleaner with a basket thqat comes with it. Carb cleaner removes all the gunk from fuel residue clogging the jets and ports. That gunk clogging your fuel system creates an imbalance in how youre combustion chamber recieves fuel air mixture. Cleaning yourself saves alot of money and you learn somethign about your car at the same time hope that helps :D Good luck

I need to replace the

The outer CV joints are usually the ones that most often need to be replaced for two reasons. One is that the outer CV joints wear more than the inner CV joints because of the steering angles they experience. The other is that the boots on the outer joints are more apt to fail than the ones on the inner joints. ---------------- The outer CV joint is held on the shaft by a snap ring or a lock ring.======= Click this link below for more details:--- http://technoanswers.blogspot.com/2011/09/outside-cv-boot-details-for-1993-subaru.html ---------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Oil in radiator

Not a good sign, must take your car immediately to check if there is any crack in the engine block, engine head or water ports., water pump assembly.
Sometimes if there is a crack it might be serious as water might seep into the oil and make the lubrication bad resulting in a total packed up engine. Check your oil forr traces of water , if so get help immediately..

1987 Subaru Justy losing power. doesn't seem to be

Look for green connectors under dash drivers side by steering column ...plugging these together will put the computer in diagnostic, then flash codes from an led in the actual ecm. Retrieving these codes may help isolate your driveability problem and I would be looking closely at the fuel delivery/carburetor as you might have some jets clogging and float level issues or even fuel pressure issues

Is the dome light switch connected to door latch inside of door, I dont see anything in the door frame, so it must be hidden. 01 forester

First, check the following. I believe the 2001 Forester had a 3 position dome light switch. One position turned it on, one turned it off, and the third position enabled the light to come on when a door opened. Not all years had this type of switch. If yours does, check whether the light comes on for each and every door one at a time. If it fails for a particular door, you have narrowed the problem. If this problem always existed for your Forester, possibly the assembly was not properly done. If it is a new event and the dome light switch is in the proper position, there may be a short in the wiring. You would have to test the wiring with a multimeter. Perhaps this service manual will assist: https://servicingmanuals.com/manual/2001-subaru-forester-wiring-diagram/
