Sounds like the choke isn't opening at warm up. Some mitsubishis have a wax plug actuator for the choke that fails.

How to fix ac clutch that always engaging

Hi Mark Thats an easy one... It gets told to engage by a single wire attached to the clutch. This usually has a bullet type connector close by. 12v = ON Disconnect it. Solenoid disengages. (you could put a switch in the line) This wire is controlled by the AC (control electronics) temperature sensor & the pressure build up in the refrigerant lines. Eg The unit turns on to cool vehicle but the refrigerant is low or the high pressure line is too high so it shuts off. Then the cycle starts all over again. You need some Service on your AC system. Cheers

Mitsubishi lancer 1995

A good starting point to find the problem is to have the vehicle scanned for trouble codes, which will provide info about the problem area of the vehicle. Auto Zone and Advance Auto can do the scan. Once you ahve the codes, you can ook them up on the web for more informaton.

Can you use the starter motor bump method to loosen the camshaft sprocket bolt?

NO You don't work on a motor with a the battery connected, that is an unsafe practice You need to have the tools needed to lock the cams & use long ratchet or air gun, if that is permissible, on the removal part Only use a torque wrench to put it back together

Trouble identifying problem

There are 2 lots of fuse boxes on cars, one in the engine bay and one normally by the drivers door or just under near the drivers knee... This is where the fuse will be and it should be marked as illum. or tail... Let me know how you go.

Idle goes up and down when aircon is on

This is pretty much normal as the AC engages and disengages. Though it should be subtle and not erratic. Is it causing your engine to stall? Does your AC work efficiently or is the air not real cold. It should output around 40 degrees. The compressor may be going out or it needs oil. When the AC turns on the car idle sensor should raise the idle so the AC does not drag the idle down too far. If you turn AC off and try pounding on the brake & turning the wheel violently at the same time (in park of course) if you still have an erratic idle it's not the compressor. It will probably be the IAC or a vacuum leak is suspect.

How to fix tiptronic out gear in mits lancer

HelloThe engine and automatic transmission in this vehicles drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Power Train Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM

Mitsubishi Lancer glx 2003 Alarm goes off only when car starts, Can't switch it off

the dash lamp marked SECURITY IS DEAD all the time.keyon and off? fuse #2 missing,(security fuse)? remove the remote battery so the bad buttons in FOB do not trip the alarm I',m sure you mean factory alarm is in the car. in USA we can scan the OBD2 port and see why any alarm tripped. lots of ways there are, door switches, etc. lost the users manual tell you on most cars the alarm need be enabled. and how. most say , open the door with good fob. then do not lock the door using fob and alarm is not active. but with a dead fob how? (car came new with 2 fobs) lost 2nd? my answers are for USA spec cars only, not world wide. ever. doors with keyless entry system is what they call this. fob locks. simple have you examined the whole car for wiriing harness hacks that put in any kind of 1000 aftermarket alarms here, this is first. is the horn honking? the same horn the steering well uses or some other horn hacked in to car. ( we inspect all this first) the factory ETACS as its own fob RECEIVE inside (antanna) there are 3 fuses to ETACS. fuse 22 do not pull that it kills vast other things too. Fuse 2 and fuse 15 goes there but not sure what happens pulled but seems the interior door lock buttons go dead. doing that.. here is my only cure. pull the battery NEG lug for 1hour, or more even overnight see if ETACS , resets (well it sure will) but do so and not go into alarm and first remove the FOB battery (on all fobs for this car) see fob guts below 1 coin cell there , remove it, now bad buttons do not cause system to fail. open doors only with metal key. all instructions for this car assume the below is not bad. and buttons love to fail even SHORTED.(BAD) fob-undefined-undefined-0.jpg
