Radio Doenst work
Could be a fault radio, but have you had the radio out of the car at all? Most stereos have a fuse directly on the back of the unit as a final safeguard.
Remove left front door (ds)
The connector is inside the door jam/body. Use a screwdriver to pull the rubber boot off. either you will see the plastic the unlatch the connector or you will have to pull the connector out of the body to disconnect. Most are pull the wires and connector out.
Why my hyundai sonata 1999 is not getting power to the fuel pump
Possible causes.
1. Fuse needs to be replaced;
OR
2. Relay which covers the fuel pump ( FP) is faulty and needs to be replaced. Locate the correct relay in the fuse and relay box and have some one turn the ignition on and off slowly a few times. You should hear the relay that covers the FP clicking and when you put your finger on the top of that relay you should feel it clicking as power to the pump is turned on and off. If nothing, the relay is dead and needs to be replaced.
OR
3. Faulty wiring to the FP or faulty wiring connections at the fuel pump itself. Check connections at the FP first as if it is a wiring or wiring connection issue that is the most likely place to find a problem.

By some chance did you have any trans service recently done outside of Hyundai? If not they are known for trans issues. That has a 100,000/ 10 yr drivetrain war. (engine & trans). If not, no trans svc outside of them, call the svc dept. Get svc mgr. explain to him, get response & be a VICTIM CUSTOMER! If there is no damage & it has been maintained GET OUT THE WARRANTY PAPERS! They will try to squirm around it YOUR COVERED! DEMAND IT! Stay in touch. By the way, I own one too!

Open hood and look down at the transaxle bell housing, under the intake manifold The two mounting bolts are there . You will probably need to remove some things that are in the way of doing the work.
Where is the starter located
follow the big fat wire from the battery to the engine.
one is ground the other is going to the starter. starter goes into the fly wheel / engine housing.
