2011 Hyundai Sonata 2.4 Questions & Answers
WOULD NOT CRANK CHANGED STARTER NOW CRANKS BUT WILL NOT RUN
Something intermittent is wrong with your fuel delivery system - fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, check valve.. If it always starts when you use starting fluid that eliminates spark/igniter issues. Check all electrical connections in fuel delivery components.
If the ecm is touchy it might not be sending the signal for the injectors to shoot gas into cylinders.
But I think you have a bad connection somewhere along the line.
BTW, great car - have one also. But my dealer sucks.
Noisy tires
Hi I'm Peter, most of the time when you have high noise from your tires it is related to the tread design. The more aggressive the tread the noisier it will be so if you have all terrain or mud/snow tires they will be a lot louder than a highway tread. Talk to your favorite tire dealer and tell them you want a really quite tread. Unless you are doing some serious off roading a quite highway tread is fine. I can take my 2 wheel drive pickup a lot of places some people are scared to take their 4 wheel drives. Smooth and quite is the way to go. Nice car !
Replacing severe
Check connections under passenger seat. The SRSCM sets DTC B1322 if there is any fault in Weight Classification System. In contrast to the initial one-stage airbag systems, newer restraint systems involve complex logic to select, or alternatively suppress, various levels of safety system deployment. Inherent to an advanced Restraint System is the ability to discern information regarding passenger occupancy. It is intended that these inputs be provided through the weight measuring OC system. The object of such safety system is to reduce the risk and level of injuries by automatically adapting the airbag(s) and seat belt pretensioner to the driving status of the vehicle, its occupants, and the crash severity. The current OC system covered in this specification continually senses and classifies the front passenger side seat. OCS is utilizing a robust weight measuring technology. Thus, if any of the following conditions occur, 'command zero' and 'accuracy check' should be performed The weight classification ECU or any of the sensors is replaced. The vehicle is brought to the repair shop due to an accident or a crash even though the severity seems to be minor. The passenger airbag ON indicator is off (not illuminated) when the passenger seat is not occupied. The passenger airbag ON indicator is delayed more than 10 seconds before turning off when an adult passenger is seated in the right front seat. The passenger seat is removed from the vehicle and re-assembled. Any accessories (side table, seatback table and seat cover, etc) are replaced or installed.

Brake lights stay on even without pressing the brake pedal
Cars these days have electronic switches connected to the computer system, and they operate simply, until a little glitch shows up. In my case, the brake switch plunger strike pad had disintegrated. This little half inch button goes into a metal pad that presses against the brake switch when the brake is released. The cruise control operates the same, both activated by the brake pedal, both found under the dash. If not this, the switch might be bad. Both found at Advance Auto.
2015 Hyundai Sonata LF. Why 'check engine' light on with DTCs P2097 and P2196?
Fuel Air Ratio is incorrect due to failing sensors or broken exhaust. Sensor 1 bank 1 is actually the Fuel/Air Sensors not an O2 sensor. Your is reporting that the ratio is too rich so it is adding less fuel. Whilst this is good for fuel economy, it causes an overheat situation which can damage the piston or burn the valves. I had the same situation in my Lexus, but it was reporting too lean. After the fuel/air sensor was replaced, it reported too lean 100 yards down the road. I cleared that code and all was fine. The engine was burning off carbon die to the rich fuel situation. I recommend this, or a cheap scanner
