My Honda CRX electric roof wont work, when I unlatch the roof it beeps, press switch nothing happens Fuses O.K.

it can only be 3 things. 1: no power to motor (12v not there active or is too low) 2: bad motor. 12v there its dead. 3: jammed up track overloading said motor. a voltmeter solves #1 and 2 in seconds. leaving.......

1989. Why does the idle speed increase when I push in on the clutch?

does you car go or try to go forward without being in the gear, if yes then it is sounds like time to change clutch plate or pressure plate, you can't check it yourself, need a mechanic Regards Asad.

1986 Honda will not start after tune up

-Did you remove the rotor...?-If so. It's off. You need to put it back the way it was.If you don't remember where it point to. Here do the following step.1. Use a rechet and socket to turn the crank pulley by hands untill you see a mark line up the arrow on the pulley then stop there.-remove spark plug #1 and take a look to see if top the piston is right there or not. If not do one more turn and check (they call top death center)-Now remove the rotor cap and line up the point to cylinder #1 plug wire on the cap, tight everything down andput the cap cover back on. You should be good to goMai

I have a 1987 honda crx and for some reason when i exceed 55mph for a long period of time it cuts off. does anyone know what this could be from??

When your Honda cuts off there is alot of reason it does that, one possiblity it doesnt see a crank signal and its breaking down,or the cam signal both of these are in the distributor, or the rotor can be slipping out of position,(distributor rotor). or the ignitor breaking down,to a ignition switch the electrical componenet breaking down,to even a plugged fuel filter causing the vehicle to starve for fuel.Just for maintance concern replace the fuel filter.3_25_2012_11_22_31_pm.jpg

I have tried so many

You did not mention what engine you have, but on the vtech engines, the valve noise is usually a result of a worn camshaft and lifters. No adjustment will make it any better.

Hello i have a 2006

Window fuse's and relay's may be up under driver or passenger side dash or behind glove box, under the hood and even under the seats, and finally on the ends of the dash. All passenger power windows and locks are controlled thru and get power from the master control switch on the drivers door.

Drivers door window gets used the most so it could be the motor, window switch, relay or fuse.
Could also be a broken wire in the rubber boot going from the door to the body. You will have to eliminate each till you find the culprit. Check that all switches return to neutral when released.
The motor and the relay are the most likely to cause this problem. Try swapping the relay with a working window relay. If it still doesn't work, remove the door panel and remove the window motor.
Turn the motor shaft in both directions by hand several turns. Then plug the motor in and see if the switch will now run the motor. Sometimes that's all it takes to get it working again. I have had to do this with brand new motors. If voltage is not present at the motor connector, either a bad switch or a broken wire exists. Make sure to check for voltage coming to that windows switch. Actually, GM use's a circuit breaker type relay for each window and one fuse for all the circuit breakers.
Try this....Open the door, turn the key to the ON position without starting the engine and everything that makes noise is off. Lean down placing your ears close to the bottom center of the door or at the speaker grill. Press the window switch UP and DOWN. Listen for the window motor. If heard the drive is damaged. If not heard, turn key off and locate and replace the relay with one of the other window relays. Check window again. If it works now, get a new relay. More often than not, removing the motor and turning it by hand will get it working good as new. I have had to do that with Brand New motors! So try it.If all has failed, with the door panel still off, check for voltage at the motor connector when pushing the window switch. No voltage means its the switch, especially if its a auto down or up switch.

Could i use a complete

You would think yes but I doubt this. I have found that manufacturers change the wiring harnesses almost every year. The connectors would fit but there is no way to be sure if they are connecting the correct sensor and wires to the ECU input and output. You could ask a Honda Dealer or shop and they could compare the part numbers. Somewhere on those wiring harnesses there will be a part number and if the part numbers match then yes you could. The major issue is in the actual ECU connection. Again, those connectors could work but because you don't have anyway to verify the wiring by markings this is not a good idea. Other than using that harness to provide wires of the proper size to replace sections of the harness being replaced I would not try a straight up trade unless the dealer confirmed they are interchangeable.

Problem starting after driving wait

if the symptoms are, it starts fine in the morning, but then after driving, if you try to start it, it doesn't go and your d4 starts blinking, then its your main relay. if you have a soldering iron, you can resolder the solder joints on the relay and not have to waste virtually any money. if you dont, then they sell them at autozone for around 50 dollars. its under the dash board, behind the cruise control box, so its a bit tricky to find. best way to describe the location is the left of of the steering wheel, or closer to the driver door, all the way at the top. if looking from under the steering wheel, it would be on your right hand side.

heres the link on how to resolder your main relay:

heres the link to the autozone main relay:

hope this helps. goodluck

My 88 Honda crx with

First thing. Are you inserting correct amp fuse in the fuse box.If the fuse amp is not correct, then it will blow again n again.Other thing.what is the fuse number under hood.Is it fuse number 14 or fuse number 34 under hood or any other fuse under hood.--------- And check engine light is ON.This is one good thing. If check engine light is ON.That means there is error code stored in the cars computer.Did you got the car scanned by obdI tool.To retrieve codes. The car brand models before 1995 are checked only by obdI tool. Some local car mechanics have this tool with them.Local car garages or auto stores provide this tool on rent too for testing codes. Most probably you should get codes.Once you get codes, as per codes, you will get what part is faulty and causing the problem. But if in case, you dont get error codes in scanning, then in that case, this fuse blowing can be related to short in wirings or fuel pump is faulty. The relay is clicking, but may be its getting short, so it blows the fuse and turn the fuel pump off.So check for 12 volts to the fuel pump relay and also inspect relay condition.Alsop try swapping other relay beside from the fuse box under hood.------------- This should help.thanks.Helpmech.

I just bought a 1988

The engine serial number is stamped into the clutch casing on all vehicles. For models produced from 1987-91, the first five numbers provide engine model identification. The remaining numbers refer to production sequence. This same number may also be stamped into an identification plate mounted on the radiator support. The 88 CRX came with a 1.5 liter SOHC engine or a 1.6 liter pushrod engine--both fuel injected. There is a pretty good list of Honda engines at this post: http://www.superhonda.com/forum/f55/biggest-guide-honda-engine-codes-usdm-jdm-edm-63513/index3.html. You can usually get a pretty good rundown in Wikipedia. Please let me know if you have more questions.
