Ford ranger radio code
If you can pull the radio out and get the serial number I should be able to help. The serial number should start with the letter "M" and have 6 numbers after it. You can reply/comment here or feel free to email me at
[email protected] with it.
Hi my 2007 ford ranger 2.5 tdci (duratorq) has
Your water pump may need a lubricant. Water pump lubricant is added to the radiator.
When the weather is warm enough, and the engine runs hotter, then the thermostat opens more frequently, the lubricant will mix with the radiator fluid and circulate through the sysem lubricating the water pump.
I had squealing problem after changing the serpentine belt.
Tried changing idler sprocket, no difference.
I added the lubricant to the radiator, unfortunately the weather was cold, and the lubricant did not mix well with the radiator fluid, and did not circulate well do to cold weather and short drives.
Once the weather got warmer and the thermostat opened more often the squealing stopped.
How do i wire a new plug on the block heater
I personally would replace the block heater,
so you have a safe & working item & the proper
connector on the end
Only other option, is look at a wiring diagram
wherever you can find one
Have to verify your info, if it is not an OE Factory
Wiring Book or reference source
2007 ford courier 2500 L have to turn over for a long time would it be glow plugs if so where do i find them
If this is a diesel, the glowplugs are in the heads similar to how sparkplugs are installed. You should first check several other parts. The glowplugs get their power from a Timer. The Timer sometimes is combined with a power relay or the power relay is separate. The power relay is turned on by a signal from the Ignition switch. So if the Timer, Power Relay, or power feed off the Ignition switch, is defective, the glowplugs will not work.Check one of the wires to the glowplugs with a Voltmeter. The Timer will send several pulses to the glowplugs and then need to cool off.The glowplugs only work for a few minutes for the initial start. If the above parts are good, then check the glowplugs by removing and using battery jumper cables.Clamp one to the base of the glowplug avoiding the threads, then briefly touch the top of the glowplug with the other polarity jumper.Caution--you can melt them. Just observe if one stays dark longer than another. A dark glowplug is bad, a bright glowplug is good. Its all relative. Please comment on my info.
2007 ford ranger starting problems
With the engine at such low temp I suspect that the glow plugs in the head are not working. They are there to ignite the vaporised fuel in the cylinder and assist in starting. Have them checked out and replace if faulty
