Hello: S036 concerns the road sensing suspension, in this code it tells us the electronic level control (ELC) compressor relay has a short to ground or an open circuit. Fuses to this system (2) one 10 amp in the engine compartment. The other fuse is a 30amp located in the trunk compartment. There is also a relay in the trunk compartment relay center, #2mirco relay center ELC relay "A". I hope this helps you.

Crankshaft Position sensors

Hello: The traction control works through the Anti-Lock, The Powertrain control module. Initial control is through the ABS, IT WILL APPLY THE BRAKE TO THE FASTER WHEEL TO SLOW IT DOWN. If there is not enough progress it will then request the PCM to ****** the engine timing, if there is still not sufficient response it will cut off fuel to some cylinders. All of this happens very quickly.

Good Evening, So you are going to replace yoru starter. Honestly removing the upper intake is not bad, however I do recommend new gaskets and be sure to look at the neck between the throttle body and the rest of the upper manifold. With general knowledge and some puzzle solving skills removing that intake is your biggest thing to do since the starter sits right below it. I can help you through it if you have problems.

Problem is usually the key fob. Replace key fob battery. If that does not work, go to the dealer and get a replacement key fob. Explain them the problem, so that they will re-program the key fob.

If that does not fix the problem, then the control module that manages the anti theft must be tested. This is located on the instrument panel, and indicated by the arrow on the right at bottom in the picture below:

Tools Required
J 36796 Clip Zip Clip Removal Tool
Removal Procedure

1. Lower the window.



2. Remove the door bezel trim cover.



5. Use the J 36796 to release the retainers (1) from around the outside edges
of the door trim panel.
6. Slide the door trim panel upwards to release it from the door.
7. Disconnect the door handle cables.


Installation Procedure



1. Slide the electrical connector (2) into position on the water deflector.
2. Connect the door handle cables.
3. Align the alignment datums (1) and the electrical connector with the door.



4. Install the door trim panel by applying pressure around the door trim panel to
secure the retainers (1) to the door.


Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
5. Install the door trim panel screws. Tighten the screws to 1 N.m (9 lb in).



6. Fold the trim cover flap down.

Note - The above is a generic procedure.You might need to make some adjustments,if required.

I would check if this is a computer chipped key and if so that the chip was not damaged for starters. if you can get into the car and it starts then you may just have a problem with your lock. such as the mechanism disconnecting. have you tried the key in the other door?

Its on top of the fuel canister tank

If I remember correctly it has somefhing to do with capacity. The best way to find out is check with a GM dealer to see if the part number for a 1993 is the same as a 1998

you can go to a cadillac with proof of ownership and a picture ID and yhey can grt the codes for your key and cut you a new key. after you get in the car start the car with the old key shut car off and immediately start car with new key this will activate the new key to your car

they must be replaced in the same configuration

you won't find a good one for free, you can go to chilton or mitchell on line, or buy a manual

Check all ground connections, battery to motor ground, battery to body ground connections and motor to body ground strap. These can become corroded and produce all kinds of electrical problems. They may look all right but can be corroded underneath bolt.

I just bought a 93 DeVille, and the ALDL is under the ashtray in the center. There's a little opening, and the ALDL is behind it. It's about 4-5 inches across and 3-4 inches wide.

forget about colors or numbers. The wires just have to end up in the same location if your splicing it in.

Your best bet is to go to mitchelldiy online and get the wiring diagrams. Not knowing what year your car is and what harness or computer or component your talking about and since the wiring harness may not be the correct one for your application I would be hesitant to give advice that could ruin a computer if hooked up wrong.

theres only two places gm put that pump! under the hood opposite corner from the battery! or lift the car and look at the rear suspension ! ull see it tucked in near the pass side strut!

I have been doing this work for 35 years and there is no certain cause for this no start problem, the 1st thing that needs to be done is to have the computer (called the PCM) tested for fault codes that will indicate what part of the electronic fuel and ignition system is malfunctioning, then tested are preformed to determine if the issue is a sensor or a connector or the computer causing the issue, the common area's are ignition problems, there are many component's in the electronic ignition system so the test is needed to ID which one may be at fault, the test connector is in front of the steering wheel and below the dash, u will need a shop to read the codes or buy a cheap code reader from kragen or a parts store like kragen
