Im trying to find the access point to replace my
i do believe that it is right, the pumps are in the tank, and you will have to disconnect the ground battery cable from the battery, [ you will have to reset all radio settings and etc afte the car is fixed] then have the car above the ground for plenty of acessability, then you will have to look under the trunk cover, you will should find a round disk on the top of the gas tank, you will need a special wrench to take the cover off of the top of the gas tank, to get to the fuel pump, and etc. and then from under neath you will have to disconnect the items that is holding up the tank and lower it carefully, if gas is still in the tank, it will be heavy when removing it. so be careful.

WHAT SIZE BATTERY FOR 2006
a 74 amp hour battery should be sufficient but if you get a 90 amp hour battery to fit so much the better ,remember of course that the positive terminal is always larger than the negative

I have a Cadillac STS
A good Tech and a good scanner should be able to access the ' freeze frame ' thats shows a history of the components when the problem occours. This should give you a direction on which way to proceed, Guessing can very expensive fast.

I have a 1996 cadillac
The electronics are supposed to shut off when you turn the key to start. It sounds a lot like you have an aftermarket alarm that disables the starter. You are going to have to look under the dash for the unit and fix the wires that are for the starter. It is also possible you just have a bad connection on the neutral safety switch. Put the car in neutral and try to start it. If it starts this way, you need a new neutral safety switch.

Try checking your owner manual. Usually, there is a specific key sequence that you must follow. Example, turn key on for 5 seconds, turn off, turn key 3 times back and forth, ect ect

Hi, if you have the resistor in your key blade, that is the VATS system acting up. Fortunately there is a cheap bypass that you can do on this particular system. First though, I would try the other key, if you have one. If no other key or neither key will work, the problem is usually in the steering column. The bypass averts these problems. All you need is an ohmmeter, some 1/4 watt resistors, and a soldering gun/iron. If you are not good with electronics, maybe you know someone that is. I have done this fix in an hour for free. Here is the post:

Need to remove engine cover
Hi, take off the oil filler cap and the PS fluid filler cap. Then just pull the cover up. It has pegs that sit in grommets, so there is a bit of rubbery resistance. Just slowly work it up, you will feel where it's attached.
There are two snap mount points on the top of the engine.

I have the same deal on my 96 sts, its weak...its very common on GM's. You can barely see it but if you look behind ur motor, down the firewall next to the blower motor, there will be like a 1 inch gap that u can see it thru. It is a real pain to get at as u will be able to tell when u finally locate it, since it hasn't affected how my car runs, i'm not changing it. Its $230 to have the dealer change it, and possibly, may be worth every penny to have them do it lol!!!

Why m I getting this
P0135 is 02 heater circuit ( Bank 1, sensor 1 ). P0138 is 02 circuit high voltage ( Bank 1, sensor 2). It is a good idea to replace all 4, 02 sensors at the same time, otherwise the 2 new 02 sensors on bank #1 will be transmitting Data back to the computer at a faster rate then the old ones on bank #2 And this could cause other problems. Remember to have the codes cleared from the computer after all repairs are finished. If you do not the computer will keep turning on the check engine light.
-also that way if the light ever comes on again you already know it will be for something new.Good Luck and have a good XMASS.

1997 cadillac stalls when driving. Have replaced
Was the fuel filter replaced too?
Also check the air filter, if it is dirty replace it, To check the air take it out and if the problem goes away you know that was it. If that doesn't work let me know and we can go from there.

Diagram of the location of
Seville With 4.6L Engine
On some models, the generator is water-cooled. When this is the case, the repair procedure is as follows:
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the accessory drive belt.
- Drain and recycle the engine coolant.
- Remove the radiator.
NOTE: If your vehicle is equipped with air conditioning, refer to the information regarding the implications of servicing your A/C system yourself. Only an MVAC-trained, EPA-certified, automotive technician should service the A/C system or its components.
- Remove the A/C condenser.
- Raise and safely support the vehicle securely.
- Disconnect the coolant inlet and outlet hoses from the generator.
- Detach the electrical connections from the generator. The regulator, the battery output, and the heated windshield (if equipped) will need to be unplugged.
- Remove the generator fasteners from the generator.
- Remove the generator from the vehicle.
To install:
Fig. 13: This shows the coolant outlet hose being removed, signified by the "1" in the diagram
- Attach the generator to the engine and tighten the fasteners to 37 ft. lbs. (50 Nm).
- Attach the electrical connections for the regulator, battery output, and the heated windshield.
- Tighten the battery output cable to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm).
- Reconnect the coolant inlet and outlet hoses to the generator.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Install the A/C condenser.
- Install the radiator.
- Install the accessory drive belt.
4.5L and 4.9L Engine
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the generator harness connector and battery charging wire on the back of the generator. Heated windshield 3-phase connector and clip if equipped.
- Release the tension from the drive belt land remove the belt from the generator pulley. Do not remove the belt from any other component pulleys.
- Remove the volts, ABS ground strap, and generator from the vehicle.
Fig. 14: Alternator mounting - early models with 4.5L and 4.9L engines
Fig. 15: Alternator mounting - later models with 4.5L and 4.9L engines
To install:
- Install the generator and ground strap to the mounting bracket with bolts tightened to 20 ft. lbs. (27 Nm).
- Raise the drive belt tensioner. Position the drive belt over the generator pulley and release the tensioner.
- Attach the generator harness connector and battery-charging wire to the generator output stud. Do not route the battery charging wire to rest against the cruise control servo. Tighten to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm). Do not overtighten.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
