Question edited for clarity and spelling of 'capacitor'.. Question moved from Televisions to Rheem A/C. When a start/run capacitor fails, the fan doesn't turn at all, it will just hum. Try a full reset of the system. Disconnect the power at the breaker for at LEAST 2 hours, or preferably overnight. It resets the logic board and resets all the relays. If that doesn't work, you need an A/C Service Technician.

moved yah from cars to HOME HVAC the maker RHEEM has a web site. and has full documentation on that, and more. go there get it and see it. if using non RHEEM stat , that takes a book on that stat too. and is not too hard to figure out.

Best to go to Rheem website and download the right wiring diagram. You don't want to take a chance and damage something else.

Heating element, REALLY? Your gas furnace has high temp limits around the burners, heat exchanger, and probably the blower also. The little switches have 2 wires connected to it, and a small reset between the wires. Should have a little red dot/color on the push button that resets. I'd suggest calling a professional.

Probably a weak breaker. I would change it and see if it happens again. If the problem continues call a hvac guy out

The fan relay is located in the air handler side of the system. Replace it and the fan will shut off normally.

Unit may have have iced up and defrost timer came on which is emergency heat check pressures and refrigerant

It sounds like your system might be low on coolant. Check the pressure of the main line and check it against the specs. You may have a leak in the system.

You have either a defective thermocouple or a faulty gas valve. Look online for methods of checking the thermocouple milli-volts reading with a multimeter. 15 or 20 Mv is the average. --

error code 29 is a high pressure open. possible causes are dirty indoor or outdoor coil. indoor or outdoor fan not running, liquid line Freon restriction, or to much Freon in the unit.

Ask your installing company for the AHRI number. If installed with a matching furnace and coil as listed in the certification then you will get 16 seer rating. If they installed something different than what is listed in the certificate then demand all parts listed or a refund.

sounds like your compressor is getting hot and shutting down have you washed your outside condenser coil? Could be dirty causeing high head pressure and shuts your compressor down. Try washing your condenser coil I think this will help you. If not you may be low on charge of Freon.
