Question edited for clarity and spelling of 'capacitor'.. Question moved from Televisions to Rheem A/C. When a start/run capacitor fails, the fan doesn't turn at all, it will just hum. Try a full reset of the system. Disconnect the power at the breaker for at LEAST 2 hours, or preferably overnight. It resets the logic board and resets all the relays. If that doesn't work, you need an A/C Service Technician.

moved yah from cars to HOME HVAC the maker RHEEM has a web site. and has full documentation on that, and more. go there get it and see it. if using non RHEEM stat , that takes a book on that stat too. and is not too hard to figure out.

you can check the inside door chart, and it will map out the led light readout for you. just follow the instructions on the panel and it will tell you possible problems and what you may need to fix to make your unit run correctly.

Just take a tape measure and measure the return opening and that will give you the size. length and width.

Best to go to Rheem website and download the right wiring diagram. You don't want to take a chance and damage something else.

Heating element, REALLY? Your gas furnace has high temp limits around the burners, heat exchanger, and probably the blower also. The little switches have 2 wires connected to it, and a small reset between the wires. Should have a little red dot/color on the push button that resets. I'd suggest calling a professional.

that reset is for the high pressure switch. this means your compressor is getting to hot which is then increasing the pressure and tripping the switch because the fan isn't running. usually if a capacitor is bad you can give the motor a "kick start " and the blade will then start turning. use a long stick or screwdriver to spin the blade but then you will know you need a cap. that switch is protecting your compressor, don't hold it down to keep it running. Likely a bad motor. If you have a meter and electricity confidence you need to verify that you have high and low voltage AT the motor. If both voltages present and still no motor you know it's bad. Replace the fuse with a light bulb. You should be able to take some measurements now to find the fault.
