You would need to buy this: http://www.amazon.com/Battery-replacement-QB24-QB26-QUANTUM/dp/B002BJZ2XI Just remove the old rechargeable batteries (3) out and install the new one in. That battery is mostly dead. iphoto27atyahoodotcom was able to replaced it and got it working.

Solid arrow -> normal operation. Dashed arrow -> faster cycle, less time to achieve readiness of the flash but, on the other hand, lower number of flashes.
