I have a Elna Supermatice sewing machine from 1962. I need a power cord that fits into the machine on the right side and has 3 prongs. It is a # 722010 model.

Several online sewing machine parts stores have what you are looking for just be sure to check the photos to ensure they look like yours.

Elna carina manual

You may find this at www.diplodocs.com or www.scribed.com free, otherwise you will probably need to buy it from www.sewingpartsonline.com or www.sewing-machine-manuals.com , I think it came as 2 books, Instruction Manual and Sewing Guide.

My elna 2004 tread keeps on breaking, what can be the cause of it

Can be a variety of reasons. Firstly, is it a Quality thread? Cheap thread can be inconsistent in strength and also creates more 'dust'. Secondly, check the thread path for the top thread and also the bobbin thread. Reset tensions. Third, have you broken a needle lately - may have created a small burr on the bobbin / shuttle. Fourth, change the needle - is it the correct type and size for what you are sewing? Hope that helps!

What are the basic tensions for elna 614de

Serger tension adjustment: reduce all dials to zero. Beginning with left needle, increase tension until an even stitch forms. Continue with right needle, then lower looper, and upper looper. If you are not able to adjust, take it to an experienced tech.

I just bought a second hand elna SU and the coupling wheel will not turn. ( so I cant disengage the flywheel to load a bobbin. Any suggestions?

Grasp the outside of the Flywheel really firmly and then using a piece of that rubber mat grip, grasp the inner wheel and turn it towards you. Sometimes if the machine hasn't been used for some time, the flywheel will get quite tight and you may need to apply some force. Is your machine the Blue top Star Series SU? Great strong workhorse machine. If you are a bit mechanical and what to delve into the machine, I'd suggest you find the Yahoo Group called Elna Heirlooms where owners of these Swiss made beauties share their passion and knowledge of these machines.

Elna su globe change how to?

Not sure if you have a Star Series SU or the newer Air Electronic SU machines but its similar for both. Firstly unplug the machine from the power. On the top of the machine head above the light and presser foot, there is a little hole, place the tiny screw driver that came with your accessory kit into this hole and push down. The bulb and assembly will come down on a spring, you may need a spare hand from someone to push this down. The bulb is a bayonet socket, so push and turn bulb to release. It goes in on an angle though, sometimes its easier first time to lie machine over on a towel on its side and have a look at what you are doing as you push down on the socket. Bulbs are 15w bayonet, if you remove the old one and take it to the shop, should be able to find something similar even if its not branded Elna. Hope this assists. pages from elna sp st su star series instruction booklet -2usav4ksg3kxgttdggaw0tzd-2-1.jpg
