I have a emachine e525 has been working great but suddenly it wont connect to the internet (this laptop connects great so i know there isnt a problem with the internet) i have tried everything but not sure which is the wireless on off switch on the computer please advise

Boot to recovery mode and do a startup repair, if it doesn't help, you can either do clean install or talk to a specialist

Do you have internet service? I would call your internet service provider and talk to their service department, when you get on your own computer. They can get you going.

Go to ACER on the internet and download the current drivers for your computer. Device drivers can also be updated from the Control panel/Device Manager, Highlight the DM and look at the list of devices. Select the lower area USB section and one line may stand out indicating the faulty USB connection. Click on the line and use the option check for Driver and see if it finds the appropriate driver to fix the problem.

Your pc is probably overheating, due too many programs opened at one time, or dust in the cpu cooling fan.

Try to clean the cooling fan element:




It`s probably blocked by dust.
A pc repair shop, can help you with cleaning your pc, if you have no experience with that.

Try not to use a laptop, for big games, they will not last long.

E525 does not have a mic

IF you do NOT have DSL, "but I do not have DSL" (sic) then you must connect up to the internet, via a MODEM, the phone line connects to the Modem, the MODEM connects to the PC via Ethernet cable. Then you use the Connect to internet Wizard. You will need to enter your login and password, for your ISP, so you will be able to access the internet. You also must enter the ISP's PHONE Number to Dial up, FIRST, then you must enter your login, and password. Then you will connect up to your ISP, and be able to go onto the internet through them. That's it, really.

Try connecting on MS MGR and start a video conversation, it may auto start.

It might be an internal problem. Hopefully you haven't drop it. If it persist you may need to take it apart and look at the actual connection for the touch pad.
