Timex Expedition alarm beep

Greetings, I changed out the battery on my expedition and all is well, except the alarm will not sound any more.  I have set the beep to be 'on', and the watch does go into alarm at the set time because I see the indiglo light up and the face flashes.  However, no beep sound.  Any solutions?

same issue here. Reset the back to make sure it was in the right position and still no sound with anything. I also see the flashing light when timer or alarm goes off.

Good after noon ! maybe the problem of your watch is wrong possition of case back because the speaker or buzzer of your watch is attached on the case back , so open the watch and fix the case back at the correct possition ,!thank you ! god bless !.....

Thanks for the posting. I wasted couple of hours fiddling with various buttons and searching Google for how to get the alarm to beep again. Your posting saved the day.

I had the same problem with mine. I took off the back plate and turned it 180 degrees so the "E" on the back plate is now right-side up when the watch is turned over. The alarm sounded on all 3 alarms. I tested the solution by putting it back on upside-down and the watch's alarm once again did not sound. Then I repeated the fix with the "E" right-side up and the alarm sounded again.

I have a timex expedition. Eventhough the battery is new, the alarm and the beep function does not work properly. I have to shake the watch to make it work

If your Timex Expedition watch alarm and beep function are not working properly, even with a new battery, it could be caused by a few different things. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the alarm settings: Make sure the alarm is turned on and set to the correct time. Also, check that the alarm is set to the correct mode, such as daily or weekly.
  2. Check the watch's manual: Refer to the instruction manual that came with your watch to see if there are any specific instructions for setting the alarm or beep function.
  3. Check the vibration function: If the vibration function of the watch is not working, it could cause the alarm and beep to not function properly. Try resetting the watch or contacting Timex for assistance.
  4. Check for physical damage: Inspect the watch for any physical damage such as a cracked or broken case, or a damaged alarm switch.
  5. Check for water damage: If the watch has been exposed to water, it could cause damage to the electronic components. If water has entered the watch, it is best to take it to a professional watch repair center for service.
  6. Check if the watch have a warranty: If the watch is still under warranty, you should contact the manufacturer for service or repair.

Can't turn off the alarm on a timex Expedition Watch

buy a Casio wrist watch at KMart for around $17.00. They last five years, then the
band breaks and you buy a new watch. I timed the traffic signal system of our city for 20 years from a Casio wrist watch. Now in retirement, I have a Time Expedition which has several alarms which I do not need, and can't turn off. We change the time twice annually, so having alarms and chimes go off without warning ca bve a nuisance.I found some instructions on a website which shows how to turn the alarms off.

I recently had my battery changed on a timex expedition adventure tech altimeter watch, now the chime doesn't work and the alarm doesn't beep. Please help. Thank you.

You can attempt to have the circuit board reset if it has an "AC". This may or may not fix the problem. Usually when a sound board goes out you have to replace the whole circuit board or movement.

No beep, no alarm, no sound at all after battery replacement and after resetting the watch. The watch is the Expedition.

I think you put case back wrong way ,, or a small spring which connect caseback with watch movement feil during battery change that also ma be a issue.

New Battery but Alarm sound doesn't work

You will find an arrow head on the outside back of your watch where all the printing is. When you put this lid back on, this arrow needs to be aligned with a notch on the inside edge where the cover goes on. As you are looking at the watch from the back with the cover off this notch is in a northwesterly direction. If you doubt it then just hold the back on without popping it in all the way and hit your mode button to make sure that you hear the beeps again. If you do, then you've found the right spot.
