1. Remove door (2 screws).
2. remove top (2 screws at back, sharp slap to front to dislodge).
3. Remove 2 screws holding powder dispenser to inlet valve.
4. Remove 2 screws at front corners securing fascia.
5. Remove fascia and powder dispenser as a unit - note plastic locating pegs on underside and plastic clips locating bottom onto front panel. Take care not to drop one of the rubber seals from valve/powder dispenser joint. Do not disconnect the wiring, just lay the complete assembly on top of the machine.
6. At some point, you will need to release the retaining wire securing the seal to the front panel. This is a thin spring loaded wire. Look after it, you will need it again.
7. Remove two screws at front securing front panel.
8. Remove kick panel - this allows access to two more screws securing bottom of front panel - take these out as well.
9. unclip the wire connector to the door switch.
The front panel may now be lifted from its plastic retainers.
10. The second wire clip can now be removed. The clever clip will need to be released to allow refitting.
11. Thoroughly clean and disinfect the seating for the new seal - you don't want the same gunk growing into the new one straight away.
12. On the drum, you will notice a protruding moulding at about 5 o'clock. There is a matching flange on the seal to help you locate it accurately - start here and fit the seal.
13. Fit the wire retainer - you will need a good pair of long-nose pliers to retension the wire.
14. Reassemble the machine in the reverse order - take care not to mix up the screws! remember to fit the seal to the front panel before refitting the door. Do not release the spring from the wire, carefully stretch it into place.

On my Ariston the first part is as follows:

Open the door and you should see a small lip on the seal itself. Tucked in this lip / recess is a thin wire band. On my model the band has a spring that connects it towards the bottom of the drum area. A small screw driver or hook will enable you to prise the band out from its recess and free the seal from the main body of the washing machine. It will still be connected to the drum. It takes two minutes or less to do this however somewhat longer to replace ensuring you don't puncture the seal. I was just having a look in advance of replacing when my spare part arrives. I have not looked at how it is seperated from the drum yet however expect it to be straight forward once the out seal retaining wire is removed.

Front load washer door seal is detached

The seal appears to be spring reinforced. you may need to remove the door partially and rewrap the spring around seal. or if broken or cracked try to replace or fix with a sheet rubber and rubber cement. May be an old bike tube!? hehe

Rubber gasket

Hi,

Feel around the seal, in the groove behind the seal face. You'll find a spring at the bottom. With a small screwdriver, lever the spring over the seal face. Work the steel ring off. Fold the seal inside the washer. Unplug the washer, Remove the door, and set aside. Locate your panel screws and remove the front, exposing the drum and basket. There are usually additional screws under the dispenser trays too. Disconnect the door lock wires. Locate the other spring/ring assembly on the outer drum, and remove. Orient your new seal properly and reassemble. The only difference on the reassembly is that, when you are putting the rings back on, start 180 degrees from the spring, and work the ring back on until you get to the spring. Carefully lever the spring back over the seal face, being careful not to damage your new seal.

A HOLE IN THE RUBBER SEAL

You can certainly diy. Unplug the washer. With the door open, look at the bottom of the seal. You'll see a ring clamp. Loosen the screw and remove the clamp. Peel the seal inward. It is easier to complete the seal swap with the front off. Remove the door and set aside. Locate the screws for the front of the machine and remove them, gaining access to the seal. Youcan either set the door to the side with the door lock wires still attached, or unclip them, which is easier. With the seal folded inward, you will likely find another clamp at the bottom. Loosen this as well. Remove the seal and replace with the new one, making sure to orient it like the old one was, and fold it to the inside like you had the old one for removal. Replace the front panel. Complete the seal installation, being careful to make sure that the clamp removed earlier gets put back in the groove and seats well. Reinstall the door. Bosch Axiss washer front door seal replacement

Remove the top of the machine(screws are at the back).
Look down the side of the front door on the inside of the machine.
You will see a metal wire band holding the rubber on.
You usually only need a screwdriver to loosen the screw which holds it tight.
Try it out and get back to me if you get problems
good luck

Clothes got tangled with rubber seal inside and ripped it. How do I fix/get a new seal?

This part is a problem on many front-loaders and never really goes away. The rubber seal is a replaceable part and should be supplied under warranty. There is no way to fix it.You should try very hard to get Sears to pick up the labor cost as well.
