I had brought HP ExpressCard TV tuner card from US. I had used it in US and it was working fine. But in India I am unable to change the region from US to India. It tells the TV tuner hardware does not support this region. Can you please tell me how to change the region from US to India? thanks & rgds, ChandraBN.

Hi chandru4ni
If you have a video or dvd recorder , connect it to the scart or analog output , using the recorder tuner . It might work . I'm afraid there is no other way in your situation .
Best regards ,

Play & Record VHS through TV Tuner Card

You need to connect the ariel to the vcr, then the vcr to the card, using a male/female fly lead. Then I suggest putting an origional film tape into the vcr, press play on the vcr and then scan in the channels on the card. It should pick up the vcr's output of the film that is playing.

Tv tuner option

If are talking about the Express Card slot into which the ExpressCard TVTuners are installed, it should be located on the Left side of the Notebook.
Please go through page number 18 of 266 in the Manual of the Notebook which is available through the link below which shows you the exact location of the Slot :
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00530488.pdf

By the way, HP no more sells the ExpressCard TV Tuner Cards in HP Shopping.
Only USB TV Tuner Cards are available from HP.
However, you should be able to find Express Card TV Tuner Cards from other Manufacturers.

Hope this helps...

TV Tuner for my HP

Hello Matt,

WISH YOU HAPPY MERRY CHIRSTMAS!!!!!!!!

I am Vikram Kumar Thumu from India- Hyderabad. I have seen your message on the issue related to the Tv Tuner card. Since, I work with HP as Technical Support I would like to suggest you on this issue.

Well, the "HP ExpressCard TV Tuner for Windows Vista
(RM436AA#ABA)" supports only for Windows Vista.... and it will not work with Windows XP.

If you are lookng for Windows XP Tv Tuner Card, I recommend you to purchase Hauppauge WinTV-PVR USB2 (EC557AA#ABA). As this one supports for Windows XP but needs Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 .

These are available solution for you at this moment . I hope that this should resolve the issue for you.

If you need any other information please do mail me at [email protected]. I'll be glad to help you.

Once again WISH YOU HAPPY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks,
Bye...
