Possible solution #1: power on the unit and press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds. Then, power off the unit for about 5-10 minutes. Power it on, try the music transfer again and see if you can play it.
Possible solution #2: head to the NWZ-S545 product page and update the unit's firmware. When that is done, reset it and then try to transfer and listen to your music.
If these techniques fail, then I would probably just take it back to where I bought it from and exchange it for a new one. If you are beyond the retail return period, but within your product warranty, call Sony technical support and have them arrange for a warranty replacement.

Screen is frozen

How to reset iPod Nano if it is not responding or frozen.
Hold down the Center and Menu buttons simultaneously. The screen will start to melt away. Then you will see the Apple appear on the screen.

The iPod has been reset sucessfully.
Music files should still be saved, but some customized settings may be lost.

If that doesn’t fix your problem, try a hard reset by holding down Menu and Play/Pause simultaneously for about 10 seconds. A hard reset will clean all data off the unit.

I have Sanso m250 2.0gb mobel. Logo screen is appearing when i power on after that i am unable to play the mp3 songs or play FM Radio etc..

Try doing a hard reset on a Sansa m250:
  1. Turn off the Sansa. Just pull the battery out for a second.
  2. Plug the Sansa into a computer4.gif, and open "My Documents" in the computer.
  3. Open the Sansa file as if it were a drive, then go to the "MUSIC4.gif Specific storage" file.
  4. Right click the "MUSIC Specific storage" file, and press "Format."
This should hard reset the Sansa m250. I do not know if this will work on other Sansa m200 type .mp3 players. You can start over with your playlists. This has worked for me.

Keeps restting itself

Firstly, try "re-setting" the Z5 (ie micro switch) first. If this doesn't resolve, then firstly save a backup of all your files...then use the 'format' function (ie open My Computer, then open the YP-Z5 folder, then look for the Format function), which will clean out your entire memory, including hidden files. Then download the latest firmware update from Samsung website (download centre/mp3) and save newest firmware onto your Z5. Always update your Z5 with latest firmware (appropriate with your Windows OS). Good luck.
