My w510 can not run major websites and give the option (http 404) and (page can not be displayed)

Hello. A Http 404 error is not fixable by you. It is not caused by your cell phone/device. A Http 404 error is basically a "dead end" ..like you walked down a pathway that lead to a wall.

Possible cause:

(1) A Http 404 error means that you either entered a typo in your link address

or

(2) The Owner of the website deleted that page or file or image and it no longer exists

or

(3) The Website Hosting company is down for maintenance, so that web page that you visited is not working right now.. check back tomorrow to see if their service is back online.

or

(4) If the link was clicked on from a Website, then that web page provided a broken link. Report the broken link to the Website so that they can fix it.

Hi.<br /> <br /> 404 error page not found means that the computer is connected to the Internet, but that it cannot find the page linked to the domain name (that www.something.com, aka URL), or linked to the IP address typed into the browser (eg. Internet Explorer) address bar.<br /> <br /> The error is usually displayed because of either one of the following reasons:<br /> <br /> 1) The web page does not exist or the website does not work. In this case the web page requested will return error 404 from any computer. Test using at list two different computers and two different network connections.<br /> <br /> <ol> <li>This usually translates in one of the following:</li> <li>You wrote the URL in the wrong way.</li> <li>The web page requested does not exist.</li> <li>The web server hosting the website is down.</li> <li>The domain name is not linked to the website anymore (setting problems or subscription expired)</li></ol> <br /> 2) Your computer's DNS or network settings are wrong.In this case the web page requested will return error 404 from this computer. Technically, an Error 404 is a client-side error, implying that the error is your mistake, either because you typed the URL in wrong or the page has been moved or removed from the website and you should have known. Another possibility is if a website has moved a page or resource but did so without redirecting the old URL to the new one. When that happens, you'll receive a 404 error instead of being automatically routed to the new page.
Note: Microsoft IIS web servers sometimes give more specific information about the cause of 404 Not Found errors by suffixing a number after the 404 as in HTTP Error 404.3 - Not Found which means MIME type restriction.

How come when I put www.google.com in web address it comes up saying "error 404( not found)?
When you are using the Internet and your browser displays a 404 error, it has been able to communicate with the server that hosts the Web page but the page (or file) does not exist on the server.
This may be due to an old link or bookmark or a typing error but the website owner may also have permanently removed the file or page from the website or changed the URL.
The following steps can help you remedy user errors or locate the page, if it still exists.

Check that you typed the correct URL into the address bar.
If you made a typing mistake, fix it and press "Enter" to go to the correct page.
Click the Reload button in your browser or press "F5" on the keyboard to refresh the page if you believe the URL to be correct.

Press the "F5" and the "Control" keys simultaneously to instruct your browser to ignore any cached data for the Web page and perform a complete refresh, if normal refresh does not work.

Meaning of http 404
The Error 404 "Page not found" is the error page displayed whenever someone asks for a page that's simply not available on your site. The reason for this is that there may be a link on your site that was wrong or the page might have been recently removed from the site. As there is no web page to display, the web server sends a page that simply says "404 Page not found".The 404 error message is an HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) standard status code. This "Not Found" response code indicates that although the client could communicate to the server, the server could not find what was requested or it was configured not to fulfill the request.
The 404 "Not Found" error is not the same as the "Server Not Found" error which you see whenever a connection to the destination server could not be established at all.

External display stays lit
You have the option to change it under display settings in ur main options menu. menu>system settings>display settings>front screen(?)>desplay timmer. This should do the trick. I have mine on 10 seconds and that works great. I hope this helps.
