My brother sewing machine LB 6800 is showing FO5 speed sensor error what can I do to fix it

You may need to get the sewing machine serviced; the repair must be handled as if you are fixing a computer. The F05/F5 error indicates a problem with the timing shutter, the PCB board or the wiring between them.

If you are going to try this, first unplug the machine and check the wiring. Next clean the timing shutter if the wiring is undamaged. Replace the timing shutter if the error recurs. If the machine still gives the F05 error, the PCB board has to be replaced.

Some of the parts for the Brother LB6800 are here: https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/brother-lb6800-sewing-machine-parts.aspx?sort.ss_cat_sort=desc&index=157.

I hope this helps.

Have a problem with f05 error speed sensor on a brother machine

The start/stop button was pressed without connecting the foot controller while the setting for adjusting the stitch width using the sewing speed controller is set to [ON].
You have selected a pattern for which width control cannot be used.

Brother pe-770 f05 speed sensor error - How to fix?

F05 error, speed sensor. I fixed successfully 2 of those. Speed sensor is located on a small board, under a protective plastic, located over the main front board. Remove front panel and bobin winder assembly. Remove the 2 screws of the small board. Remve CAREFULLY the small bord. Under, on the main shaft, are located the needle positionning sensors and the wheel of the speed sensor (left wheel on the shaft). The speed sensor is located on the board itself, it's very small. Clean carefully both the wheel and the sensor with Q-Tips and alchool, reassemble the whole thing and it should restart.
While U are there, take a thin nozzle oiler and lubrificate all the suppots of upper and lower shaft, all the needle bar mechanism and rotary hook central shaft and gears WITH VERY THICK oil. Needle bas assembly is the most critical point. I have 14 of those machines, almost all of those seized there before I learn how to lubrificate it. Also seized on the bottom shaft and on rotary hook pin
