Hello,
This is possible. It requires firmware upgrade to disable the FM radio. Follow the directions below link:
http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5224/~/removing-the-fm-radio-feature-from-the-sansa-clip%2Fclip%2B%2Ffuze-player
Good luck.

Yes, it means it is version 1. Open the Player's drive in "MY computer" and you will see the root directory folder.....

  • Wale Sarumi KomputerSolution

Did you run the upgrade on your player after dragging the file to root directly?

  • Wale Sarumi KomputerSolution

I mean root directory... It is a folder in your player. If the file is kept in the "root directory" folder, the player should detect the upgrade...

What do you mean by disabling the fm radio? Are you just trying to use the Mp3 feature and having trouble? Once I have more detailed information I can assist you further.
thank you,
Lee

you would be better off just buying a cheap mp3 player that doesn't have fm radio.
    thank you,

The sansa clip mp3 player has totally frozen up-stuck on fm radio

Press the Home button and see if it will go to the settings menu. If it will, change the USB Mode to Auto. If it won't, hold in the power on/off button for 15 seconds to reset the player, and try again.

I have a sansa clip mp3 but i can't turn on the fm radio. help

1) Go into the settings menu, go to FM settings, and make sure the FM Region is set for United States. If you are outside the US, change it to "World"
2) The radio might initially be set for Pause - to test this, turn to a specific radio station that you know you get, and press up on the clickwheel. The "block" icon underneath the radio station should now change to a play arrow, if indeed it was on pause.
