You may have worn agitator
dogs, causing the upper portion of the agitator (called the "auger") to slip. Or, you could have a loose agitator bolt. The following link explains how to replace the dogs (if necessary) and how to access the bolt:
http://www.fixya.com/support/r823955-replacing_agitator_dogsIf you need to replace the dogs, the part number is included. You can purchase them for about $5 at appliancepartspros.com. For a little more, you can purchase the entire agitator drive replacement kit. Look for it under the "Agitator" parts section. You can also reference the helpful exploded view diagrams the site offers for assistance.
NOTE: When tightening the agitator bolt make sure you do not overtighten. This may cause damage to the agitator, or restrict its movement. Tighten until snug.
If you still require assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.
