Used oven to bake cookies, went to use it to cook dinner 30 minutes later and oven won't heat up and left rear burner dosen't turn on. You can set the temperature and it clicks like it is turning the oven on, but no heat. The left rear just dosen't come on either.
>check for fuse / wires broken, disconnected or damaged. use proper tools for probing - don't assume that when the controls make a sound everything should be working (the knobs won't heat up the oven)

Hi-
Check the back for fuses, if it has try replacing it. check wirings if pinched or curled or loose as well
Hope this helps

Warning! To avoid personal injury or even death, always disconnect your appliance from its power source--that is, unplug it or break the connection at the circuit breaker or fuse box--before you do any troubleshooting or repair work on your appliance. Also, because some components may have sharp edges, use caution while working on your appliance.

Burners need to be cleaned using sand paper or steel brush.
Maybe there are too much carbon present on the contacts. Get your owners manual and check there how to clean the burners.

If one of
your burner heating elements works only intermittently, it's probably
because of worn or bad contacts in the receptacle that the element
plugs into. On most electric ranges, you can remove the element by
lifting it up several inches and firmly pulling it away from its
attachment (receptacle). Read your owner's manual to learn the correct
technique for your range.
If, after removing the element, you
see that the ends of the element that were plugged in are pitted,
corroded, burned, scarred, or rusted, replace both the element and the
receptacle.
Try this there are two resetable thermostats in this particular oven, the first is located on the rear of the unit behind the panel ( if standing behind unit its in the upper left hand side of unit. 2 wires leading to the thermostat and a small "button" to press to reset it. if it doesnt work after resetting that one then the second one located under the control panel behind the second burner knob from the right.. to acess this panel you will need to remove the burner knobs::: then loosen and remove the plastic hold down under the knobs, the contriol panel will lift off then and then remove the four screws holding the clock assy in position, when thats lifted out of the way( no need to disconnect)you see hte same resettable thermostat moundted on the unit right behind that second switch, simply reach in and reset it
When the food you're baking is done on top but not on the bottom--or when baking just takes far too long to finish--the bake element may be burned out.
You may get fooled into thinking it's working, because the oven is hot inside. But many electric ovens use the broil element, too, during the preheat and bake cycles. So the food may be getting heated only by the broil element, which causes poor baking results.
If the bake element is burned out, replacing it should solve the problem. Otherwise, you need to further troubleshoot the oven's electrical system to locate the defective wire or component.
When the temperature is consistent but too high or too low, it could be one of several different things. First check to see if the thermostat sensing bulb has come loose from its holder. It could be lying on the floor of the oven or resting on the heating element. This would cause the oven to not heat correctly.
If the thermostat bulb is not dislodged, it's likely that the thermostat or sensor is either mis-calibrated or defective.
Electronic ovens with a digital display use a sensor to monitor oven temperature. To solve temperature problems for these models, you may need to replace the sensor. On some digital-display models, you can calibrate the temperature using the key pad. See your operator's manual for details.
Ovens without a digital display often use a mechanical system for controlling temperature. On many of these units, you can remove the thermostat knob and adjust the knob itself to more accurately represent the actual setting of the thermostat.
If, when you remove the knob, there's a screw on the back of it with a small calibration plate, you can loosen the screw, adjust the plate, then tighten the screw again. If the knob isn't adjustable, and the oven temperature is off by more than 30 to 40 degrees, you need to replace the thermostat to solve the problem.
Dear,
Pros: the wheels on the bottom make it easy to pull out to clean and unplug
Cons: if you leave something to simmer temp will go up without turning the dial
This stove as has been problems from time of purchase.
The right front burner will just stay on even after the knob is turned off I have to pull it out and unplug the range very disappointed with frigidaire no response to my problem. If I leave the range on low to simmer when I come back it is at a full boil without touching the knob

HI,
It won't bake
Usually,
when an oven won't bake, it's because the bake element is burned out.
The bake element is the black, pencil- thick tube at the bottom of the
oven. When the oven heats, the element glows red. This element has an
expected life-span of several years. It may last for only one; it may
last for many more. When the element burns out, you need to replace it.
It bakes poorly
Here are two instances of when food "bakes poorly:"
You may get fooled into thinking it's
working, because the oven is hot inside. But many electric ovens use
the broil element, too, during the preheat and bake cycles. So the food
may be getting heated only by the broil element, which causes poor
baking results.
If the bake element is burned out, replacing
it should solve the problem. Otherwise, you need to further
troubleshoot the oven's electrical system to locate the defective wire
or component.
If the thermostat bulb is not dislodged, it's likely that the thermostat or sensor is either mis-calibrated or defective.

temperature. On many of these units, you can remove the thermostat knob

setting of the thermostat.

there's a screw on the back of it with a small calibration plate, you
can loosen the screw, adjust the plate, then tighten the screw again.
If the knob isn't adjustable, and the oven temperature is off by more
than 30 to 40 degrees, you need to replace the thermostat to solve the
problem.

I did assume it was the element for the not baking issue, however the left rear burner went out at the exact same time that the oven stopped working. Are these two things controlled by the same element???????
see above addition to the question
still wondering why the left rear burner does not work and went out the same time the oven did?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
the manual says it is a ES100 control with ceramic cooktop, what you are describing does not match what it looks like when the back or panel is removed. the front gives a p/n 316417025
it is a ceramic cooktop, there are only elements showing in the oven
