My whirlpool cabrio washer was washing sheets when it sounded like it was off balance. The display showed an L . Tried to cancel the cycle and switch to drain and spin cycle. Washer did not drain and just made a humming noise. Unpluged the washer and tried again, but it just made a humming noise and will not drian the water. Took the sheets out of the washer, no help.

My washer is leval but continues to display ul code when spin cycle starts

UL does not mean the washing machine unit itself is unlevel, it means the load cannot be balance, possibly washing too small a load that the machine cannot distribute in drum evenly ( happens alot when only one or two items being washed), could be poor pump out (check filters if accessible) the machine tries to start spin with excess water or maybe it is a mixed load, lots of small items and maybe one or two large items that hinder the distribution. My machine is very temperamental when I do the sheets, because they get tangled during the wash part of the cycle and then the machine cannot get them balanced to spin. I sometime have to manual move the item about and then put it to the spin only cycle.Hope this helps

UL keeps coming on the screen, will spin for 1 or 2 minutes and then UL shows up again

Hi, UL means Unbalanced load in Whirlpool Cabrio....
UL is displayed when the machine/motor control detects an off-balance load, and is steady on while the washer runs a mini-cycle to rebalance the load. Display clears if mini-cycle successfully rebalanced the load. If the mini-cycle is unsuccessful, uL will flash until the door lid is opened, allowing the customer to view and redistribute the load....

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer Error message code F1

HELLO, Error code F1 indicates a control failure and most likely the machine control board will have to be replaced. Depending on when you purchased the machine, the board may be covered under extended component warranty.
I had the same F1 problem and they had to replace the control board and something relating to the balance. The tech told me this is a common problem.
