Thanks for your quick response; however, I cannot even get into my settings to uninstall any apps. It just keeps going to the error message, even after starting it up. Any other help would be appreciated.

Hi there. I was trying to get assistance through another expert, but haven't gotten the answer I need.

Please help, as I need my phone for work.

I have an LG Optimus V by Virgin Mobile, and keep getting an error message saying "Sorry! The application Launcher has stopped unexpected. The other "expert" said to go to settings, and delete the previous apps I purchased that could be causing this. That sounds great, but I cannot even get to the SEttings Menu due to this message popping up everytime. It's like this-my phone won't do anything but turn off, if I want to, and I can turn the volume up and down, and that's it. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Hi there.

Reboot phone and as soon as it opens up get into settings. If the fault pops up as long as you are in settings you are ok. Hit force close and navigate into your app manager and uninstall the last thing(s) that you got from the market. Basically, if you downloaded more than one app and soon after you are having the problem dunk all of them.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Fixya!

Try this first:

  1. Quickly, after pressing "close" to the 'force close' box, open Settings. You will need to act quickly before the next force close message comes up.
  2. Next, Press application ---> manage application---> All.
  3. Scroll down to "launcher."
  4. Select force stop & power off the phone immediately.
You can also try:
  1. Open the Market.
  2. Next, download and install LauncherPro or ADW.Launcher.

LG GT540 Cell Phone "sorry the process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. please try again"

Ok, I would say to reset your phone by code, just dial
  • Dial 3845#*54#
  • Now select Factory reset
But obviously it won't work because Android is corrupted.
I will leave this link which will explain how to hard reset your phone without using Android, and I hope it works. Hard Reset LG GT540 Swift

How do I fix my virginmobile lg optimusv, it reads The application launcher (process com, android. launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

Hello there,
It looks like your launcher is giving you some trouble. You can download another launcher application (that looks better too) that might fix the problem. Try this great free launcher! https://market.android.com/details?id=org.adw.launcher
I hope this helps. Thumbs up always welcome :)
