The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

Let us know if the hard reset does not fix it.

There may instead be a stuck relay on the control board, which we repair for customers nationwide with our guaranteed $39.95 service.

You need to take the back cover off using a special tork wrench. If you don't have one a thin blade screw driver usually works. after getting the back cover off access is pretty easy to remove the screws from the panel. Make sure to discharge the capacitor before attempting any repairs and unplugged of course.

SOURCE: I need to replace the

1. Unplug the microwave or turn off its breaker.

2. Open the door, then detach the control panel as shown in the video at
http://www.microwavedisplay.com and swing it down, but without disconnecting the wires.

If you have any trouble getting the grille off once the screws are removed, slide the hood vent grille to the left about 1/4", then then pull it forward.

On some models there are L-shaped clips that fit into a slot to hold bottom of the vent.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

E-63 error code in your Samsung Microwave is a T1 maximum timer error which means that the power control board has gone bad and needs replacement. However, before replacing it you can unplug the unit for 5-10 minutes to do a hard reset, if the problem is back then replacing the PCB is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

How to get to OTR Samsung microwave model ME21F606MJT FUSE?

The most common location for a fuse on an OTR unit is behind the control panel. If you remove the control panel, you should see it. Another common location for the fuse would be near where the power cord enters the cabinet.

SE or 5E display on Samsung Model number SMH8165ST

This microwave is a piece of garbage and Samsung are a bunch of idiots. I have a solution but first I will vent. One day after my warranty ran out, I started getting this SE error. They referred me to an authorized repairman, who said it would be $200 just to come and look at it! Thats for a microwave that sold for slightly more than that new! Samsung refuses to offer any do it yourself help. Some guy who works on microwaves told me to order a new control panel. part DE94-01806C It was about 36 dollars and took about 10 minutes to install. If you want to save a little, for 24 dollars you can just replace the membrane. That requires removing the existing membrane with a hair dryer and then carefully applying the new one. Seemed like too much trouble so I went with the control panel.

Our 2006 Samsung Microwave has suddenly ceased to heat anything. The clock works and the turn table goes around, but that's it. We had a couple of power outages just before this happened. Could it be...

Hi,

Press the "Off/Clear' button to cancel anything on the display, and reset the microwave. This is a soft reset and will simply get you out of any program you have started. Press it when the cooking complete reminder appears on the display.
Perform a hard reset. Pull the plug out of the wall power supply, and wait a moment. Plug the GE microwave back into the wall power supply to reset any anomalies with the microwave's memory. You will need to reset the time of day if you perform a hard reset.
Reset the time of day. Press the "Clock" button, and turn the dial to set the hours. Press the dial to enter. Follow the same procedure for the minutes and a.m. or p.m. Press the "Start" button to start the clock.

Will not heat and the truntable will not run

It's almost certainly the primary interlock (top door switch).

See this file for details on checking and replacing door switches.

You can also see the video at our site, which shows you how to access the door switches.

We have the service manual for the model SMH7178STE here, which should be pretty similar. It will also help you with disassembly.
