The back light inverter board may have gone out or it is not getting the 24vdc from the power supply module. Start checking for voltage feeding the inverter board.

SOURCE: How do I access the service menu of my Samsung

with the TV off. press "Mute" "1" , "8" , "2" , "Power" on the remote (one at a time). But be careful when in there, you can change setting to keep your TV from ever working again.

Samsung ln-s4092d no red tint

There are a few things that can cause this. Your t-con board, the signal board or the screen itself. The most likelly and cheapest would be the t-con board. This is the board that transfers your picture from the signal board to your screen. You would have to open up your tv and get the part number from the board itself.

You can get get parts for this tv at www.interliquidparts.com

No picture but has sound. I read that the t con board need to be replaced. what is the part number for this model?

Hello,

More than likely this will be down to your Y Sustain board has gone faulty, when the back is off your TV it is on the left hand side and will probbaly have a fuse that has blown, replacing the fuse will not solve the problem as it is the IMP under the heatsink that has gone faulty.
You should get the part number of the board from Ebay, com for a replacement.
Hope this helps

Samsung 40" tv won't turn on

i had the same problem, you'll have to call the samsung service center. You TV's part which looks after the voltage connectivity has failed. This majorly happens due to voltage fluctuations. The part will cost around Rs. 2800 and service charges will be applied by the company.

I have a 46" Samsung, model #LN-S4092D. Two weeks ago the picture stopped working. There is sound and some light coming through the rear of the television (when the back cover is off). Sears ordered a new...

If your TV has a 46 inch screen then the model must be LNS4692D not 4092D. I recently had the exact same problem with my LNS4692D after 30 months of use. It was indeed the A/S T CON board that caused the problem. I ordered a board from partstore.com and replaced it myself. The TV is now working as it should. Saved $500 to $600 by doing the work. I documented the repairs, complete with pictures in a MS Word document but I dont think I can post it here. Replacing the board was not too difficult but it should not be attempted by someone with no experience at all in these matters.
