if its electric its pretty simple, a normal standard extension cord will plug right into the socket on the machine,, the only thing left would be the switch,, depending on the year and model,, it could be along the handle rail, or actually part of the handle itself, Just pull on it to make the motor start, if it doesn't start, you can check the switch to see if you have power going to it and when activated passes through to the motor, if that doesn't work,, thats probably why they left it,, the replacement motor would cost as much as a new unit
Vibration is normally from a poorly balanced blade, a loose blade, or the crankshaft is bent due to striking an emovable object on the lawn, check all these points, if it has been like this for a while it may well have sheared the flywheel key now, if it snatches on the starter rope it is the key or a loose blade.
This sounds like a simple belt adjustment. Look in the area where the belt is . Look to see if there is an adjusting screw, or a movable pulley, or just something that will tighten the belt. Lift the mower and look underneath the mower deck. This may be where the adjustment may be. If you can't find the area of adjustment, then you may have to bring in to the repair guy. Either way it's cheaper than a new mower. GOOD LUCK>
The button for starting bikes is usually on the right handlebar under the light switch. I had a Suzuki that wouldn't start unless you pulled the clutch in (Left handlebar, lever in front of grip). Make sure the red kill switch is on too (right handlebar).
I have just inherited the same mower that has not turned a blade for two years.
There is no fuel cut off with this machine.
I assume it is sparking?
Take of the fuel tank and carb.
Remove carb from tank and clean small intake filters..
Remote main jet a blow everything through.
Replace all and prime cylinder with small amount of fuel and try it.
There is also a square cover on the side of the carb that holdsthe diaphragm as it is a fuel suction machine.carefuly remove cove and inspect, diaphragm may be worn or damaged and not drawing fuel from the tank.
This is a 20 year old mower. Has it been used on a regular basis over recent years? Try spraying some carburetor cleaner down the carb throat to see if it fires up. If it's been sitting for awhile, the carb may need to be cleaned out.
