My cd player

THE CDX-M610 LIKE ALL OF THE CDX-M630, M800, M850MP SHOULD ALL SIMPLY START TO PLAY THE CD WHEN INSERTED. BECAUSE YOU ARE ABLE TO TUNE RADIO STATIONS AND HEAR THEM PLAY SHOWS THAT YOU HAVE EVERYTHING IN PLACE AND ARE DOING EVERYTHING RIGHT. SO IF IT IS NOT PLAYING, THEN IT WILL NEED TO BE SERVICED. AS FOR THE REMOTE, IT IS NOT REQUIRED OF ANY OF THE CD PLAYERS IN ORDER TO PLAY CD OR TUNE RADIO STATIONS. RATHER THAN INVEST IN REPAIRING, I WOULD LOOK FOR ANOTHER MODEL ON EBAY USED AS IT WILL PROBABLY GO PRETTY CHEAP. ALSO HAVE CHANCE TO GET A HIGHER MODEL LIKE THE ONES I MENTIONED ABOVE. I HAVE SEVERAL OF EACH IN MY COLLECTION AND THERE ARE NICE PLAYERS. OK. HOPE THIS HELPS.....V

place your songs in there without a folder,it cant open the folder

try another cd wont play if too scratched or dirty. handle disc by edge, dont touch the surface of disc no matter how lightly you hold it, you will leave contaminants that cloud the surface. if none ever work try them in a house cd player still no joy, then discs aare no good, if they work in home player then car cd died, time for new one. heck who uses cd any more? its a hassle to change them (only 16 songs!), hassle to replace lost daamaged or stolen(borrowed by friends), skip or scratches, get a radio with usb reader/player or SD card reader, can be had for under $60 , an 8gb SD card for $25 (4,000 songs<do you even KNOW the names of that many songs?) ok some mp3 players also read wma wich is an audio cd format wat u need to do is either convert the wma,s in to mp3s or just put nothing but mp3 formatted songs

did you check if you have not using a pre-programmed channel on the radio, or try to do a scan then play.

all CD players should do this. Who installed the CD player? Because it sounds like the memory wire isn't hooked up right. Does the clock keep the right time? If not your memory wire isn't hooked up right.

I know that Panasonic provides chips, optics (laser),etc. to Emerson. I am familiar with the problem you've experienced because I've had a Panasonic CD Player. If the disc doesn't spin (as you said), the problem must be that your shelf system probably has an optical problem (laser problem/pickup problem) and will need to be serviced.
