I need code number for a radio shack 3-in-one remote I have a memorex dvd player model number mvd2040

The problem is Memorex does not make their own DVD players instead they have other companies make them and Memorex rebrands them in their name. I would need the DVD Player's model number in order to give you the correct code(s).

Harmony remotes do not use codes. You need to log into the software, click 'Add Device' and add your DVD player with the correct make and model number, then it will work.

Press [DVD]
0246 or 1606

0246 is the best code to use. For 0246, note that pressing
[Input / TV/VCR] = The all important DVD setup menu

I just fixed a Memorex 2042 DVD player. Before the fix, the standby light was lit, nothing else works (with remote or buttons on the player panel). Opened up the machine, saw a capacitor bulged (1000uf/10v). Did some soldering work and replaced it. All is fine now.

This is all I could find ..... Memorex DVD-2000 C/P / MVD-2020 / MVD-2022 / MVD-2027 / MVD-2027 A / MVD-2028 / MVD-2029 / MVD-2030 / MVD-2037 / MVD-2051

1. Open the disc tray
2. Press CLEAR
3. Press 1, 3, 6, 9
4. Enter region (0 = multi-region)
5. Close the disc tray
6. Turn the player off

Memorex MVD-2042

1. Press OPEN/CLOSE
2. Press 9, 7, 3, 5 (or 1, 3, 6, 9 for the "suffix B, C, D" model)
3. The setup menu will appear
4. Press RIGHT to move the cursor to highlight the regions
5. Select region using UP/DOWN (0 = multi-region)
6. Press ENTER
   (or try the instruction for MVD-2020 above)

Memorex MVD-P1072

1. Turn on the player (without a disc inserted)
2. Press SETUP
3. Press 9, 2, 1, 0
4. Select region (0 = multi-region)
