You are very lucky that you know the date the problem started. This will make it easier to find out what caused this slowness. I'd suggest you go and check your firewall reports up to yesterday's date to find anything strange and run a malware scan. Slowness can indicate spywares that utilize your system and grind the hard disk for the information it is programed to collect. Also check if there were any other installations that took place yesterday which may have corrupted the system or is incompatible with the system. If my suggestions work, please do rate me. Thanks

4. empty your recycle bin
Often times, when a PC has be used for a long period of time, information becomes fragmented on the disk, causing read errors and various problems similar to what your experiencing.
To rectify this issue:
Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > "Disk Defragmenter"
I would also suggest using a free tool called Ccleaner. This is a wonderful maintenance tool.

type into your search engine------avir free------ and download the avir antivirus free program. It is super terrific and will definitely get rid of your whatever you have. I have tried a large number of those programs, include some I paid for, and none of them stand at the front door and keep stuff out. All of the others will get rid of it once it is already in but this one stops it from entering. It is the only program I would use for stopping and getting rid of viruses, worm nd malware.
i had the same problem with my computer. it may be that you have downloaded too many things. it loads onto your RAM storage, (computer files), and when it gets full, it goes onto the harddrive, (where you access files and things). clear up internet files and anything you don't need. if that is stilll slow upgrade your RAM. it fixed my pc
