I had the same issue with my AS100D. When I first bought it the treble knob on the top channel was very responsive. At 10 is was unbearably "trebley". I was getting plenty of "high" treble set at 2:00, even 1:00. Then after about 6-7 mo, I started to feel it the brightness was leaving the amp. I was now putting my treble knob all the way to 10 and keeping it there, and it still wasn't enough. I had it serviced twice, no solution. Marshall got into the act and after months of going back and forth, they finally replaced the whole amp with a new one. I just got it. The treble was incredibly bright at 10, just like the former unit. But now after just a couple of days, I can already see the treble knob is not as responsive. I can't believe it! Now what?

Best sound for dsl15h and MT-2

To achieve a tone similar to Synyster Gates' A7X sound, you may want to start with the following settings:
Green channel:
  • Bass: 5-7
  • Mid: 2-4
  • Treble: 5-7
  • Presence: 5-7
  • Gain: 7-8
Red channel:
  • Bass: 3-5
  • Mid: 3-5
  • Treble: 5-7
  • Presence: 5-7
  • Gain: 8-10
When using the Boss MT-2 pedal, set the tone control to around 12 o'clock and the level to taste. This should give you a good starting point for a heavy metal tone.
It's important to note that these settings are just a starting point, and you may need to tweak them to suit your own personal taste, playing style and the room you're playing in.
Keep in mind that the MX112 cab will also affect the sound,so you may need to play with the eq settings on the head and the pedal to achieve the sound you are looking for.
Also, keep in mind that the sound of the DSL15H head with the MX112 cab will be different than the sound that Synyster Gates gets with his rig. However, the settings above should help you achieve a similar overall tone.

Most of my keyboard bass notes are not working. From treble G# and up the notes work; from treble G down it's sporatic

Sounds like a connection problem inside. Did you open the unit before and maybe not hookup the ribbon wires securely? Did you maybe spill something on the keys? You may have to open it up and do a visual check. Make sure you unplug it before you open it.

I have grover Roto-Grip Locking Rotomatics on my gibson les paul and for the top 3 strings it doesn't seem like the opening is large enough to feed the string through even when the thumb screw is...

They come as a set of 6, with three for the treble and 3 for the bass... MAKE sure you have the correct ones for the bass as they will have three with larger holes to accomodate the larger strings.

The mixer has stopped working, seems to have lost power to the graphic equalizer all other lights work.

Here is a link to a schematic that should be close to yours. A lot of these just have more channels but circuitry is the same.

http://elektrotanya.com/http://elektrotanya.com/behringer_xenyx-1222fx_v1000_dpm5m_ub-spsu2_sch.zip/download.html

This is a zipped file. The schematic including their typical EQ is on the first file of the zip. The power supply is the last.

At the site, click on the brownish button with a down arrow to download. You will need to unzip the files or extract them using winzip or other decompressing SW.

I have a 92 Gibson T Bird with ebony fretboard, and a new one with rosewood fretboard. my old TBird doesn't have the brilliance in the highs as the new one does... i changed all the pots yesterday, with...

The most I can suggest for getting the shine back to the bass is to run an EQ before your preamp. Make sure all sliders are set to zero, then raise the higher frequencies until you get the sound you're looking for. This won't lose any growl, just accentuate the brilliance.

The best EQ to use would be a BOSS Bass Equalizer. You can use the same on your old T-Bird to accentuate the lower frequencies, and get almost the same sound.

Hope that helps!

Line 6 Spider III 15W- My Bass and Drive knobs arnt working... my mid and treble seems to be fine plus all my channels and effects but just those two knobs...and its buggin the **** out of me.... any...

resolder the three legs of the pots back down to the pcb. usually the treble feeds the bass, then from bass to mid then to ground. so if treble and mid are working its hard to imagine why the bass wouldnt be working. i would try to resolder, as you might have cold solder joints. keep it unplugged, pull off the knobs, open it up, remove the pcb screws and pull/flip out the pcb and resolder all of the pots.

Fostex MR 8 HD\CD adding treble and bass?

It APPEARS that the MR8 does NOT include the ability to EQ. They have delay effects and the like built in, but no EQ.

To answer your question then, you would need to have an EXTERNAL EQ unit and loop the vocal through that unit to do EQ to do it right.

When mastering, the "powerful/natural/and bright would be filters that will emphasize the bass (powerful) or the treble (bright) but these are really not EQ's and you can ONLY choose one at a time.
